Neutral Wire Required: Please make sure your electric box has a neutral wire(in white color) before purchasing Smart Light Switch. If you are not sure, please take a photo of the inner part of your electric box and send it to us. We can check it for you timely
Remote Control: To enable HomeKit remote control, you need a HomePod, an Apple TV 4K or Apple TV HD. Set any of these Apple devices in your house as a HomeKit bridge and connect it to your home Wi-Fi network. Keep in mind that once your HomeKit bridge is set up, it has to be kept online. If it is powered off or disconnected from the Wi-Fi, it will fail to respond when you intend to control the device remotely
Voice Control: Compatible with Apple HomeKit, Apple Watch, Siri, Carplay, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and SmartThings. You can give simple voice commands to turn on/off the devices that are connected to the smart light switch. Just say “Hey Siri, turn off the living room light.” All data is securely transmitted and stored using AWS servers in the US
Easy to Install: Less than 15 min installation. Works in a single pole setup only(Not 3 Way). the smart switch fits for your existing 1/2/3/4 gang standard size Decora/GFCI faceplate. The smart switch works with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only, does NOT support 5GHz Wi-Fi, and no hub required
Schedule and Timer Setting: Meross light switch supports to turn on and off the light automatically. Added benefit of saving energy when lights are not needed or are left on by accident. Support sunrise and sunset setting

Solid switch that takes up less space
If you’re looking for a decent smart light switch, these work quite well and take up less space in the gang box than others smart switches I have tried. Installation is the same as any other switch except of course that these require the addition of a neutral wire. My house was built recently enough that this was no issue but if your home doesn’t have them, there is an option available from another brand that doesn’t require the neutral wire. I installed 25+ of these including some of the standard 3-way style as well as some of the single pole dimmer style switches. All of them worked and have had no connectivity issues to my network at all. I think that the industry in general just hasn’t figured out a decent solution to properly dimming LED fixtures. Having said that, the single pole dimmer switches work well enough but still leave a little to be desired. I do like how the dimmer gain level adjustment is done through the app on their single pole dimmer and not on the switch itself though. The 3 way dimmer switch uses a master and a companion switch and the dimmer gain level adjustment is on the back of the master requiring removal of the switch to adjust it. I was unable to get the 3 way dimmer or the replacement switch I was sent to ever dim my LED recessed lights and eventually replaced it with their standard 3 way smart switch and a manual dimmer on the other side. I am only using the app to control the switches and schedule things like the porch light to come on and off so I have no input about compatibility with Alexa or Google but their app works well and is simple enough to navigate. Overall, these work great and have never had any network connectivity issues which are the primary things a person would want in a smart switch so I gave them 5 stars. I will update my review if I have any early failure issues but so far so good on reliability.

Works seamlessly
Straightforward installation and helpful directions included or via QR code on the box. Disclaimer: If youre not accustomed with electrical consult a professional! After install, setup was easy, took me 2 tries to get it connected with homekit but works perfectly ever since. I assume some of you may question latency from the phone and for that its almost instant, very similar with physically flipping a light switch. Overally satisfied with this purchase

5 minute upgrade. Great switch
The meross single pole switch, used in on/off applications such as switches for lights, is easy to install and looks great. I have included a few pictures with notes, so you get the idea of what is involved and how simple they are to install. Installation took about 5 minutes. I installed two meross single switches and a dimmer switch in a three-gang box which took about 10 minutes total. The instructions are printed and included, however, there is a much more illustrated installation guide if you follow the steps in the meross app which I didnât need or use. This is not a dimmer switch and is not for lights controlled by more that one switch for the same light.Note: You must have a Neutral wire (the white wire in your house wiring) as the switch needs a constant power source. Residential wiring always had a neutral conductor, at least from the inception of the 120/240V split single-phase system, that is now ubiquitous in US residential service entrances. In the early 60âs, the Code requirement, was that all wiring devices be grounded which resulted in US 120V receptacles changing from a 2-wire (hot and neutral) configuration to a 3âwire (hot, neutral and ground) in all branch circuits, and that all wiring devices be solidly grounded via that grounding conductor. The Alexa app found the meross device without me having to do a thing, but in fairness, I already have some meross devices in my home so the meross app was already setup with Alexa. I do not use Google so I cannot give you any insight for connecting to Google other than it will work with Google as well.Let me quickly give you the Positives and Negatives:Positives:Great value at around $15 per switchAll requires parts for a single gang box included (screws, wire nuts, faceplate)Easy to read instructions (in English)Incredibly easy to install (you can install with just a screwdriver)Easy to programSmall LED switch light can be in nightlight mode or power modeNegative:This is more of a learning curve than a negative, but it is not a true rocker switch. You press in same place for on or off.Overall, a great switch. I intend to install 4-6 more.

Bought this product 2 years ago, finally got around to install it. If you have an older house with a smaller box, it will take some effort and strength to push that in along with your other wirings. The rear of the switch is quite large, so unless you have a bigger box, it will take some effort. Connecting it actually took a while, the app didn’t detect it at first. The install was pretty straight forward, and it works once it’s connected. I can turn on the lights when I am not at the house too. It’s great! However, the face plate it came with DOES NOT FIT. It clips onto the switch, so if your switch box is too deep inside the wall, the plate will not clicked in. I have tried MANY times adjusting it, I got the plate on but it did not sit flush with the wall, so I ended up using my own plates. Another issue is, if you ever have your wi-fi disconnected or changed, you will need to connect EVERYTHING again! Also, EVERY BRAND has 1 item thats especially cheaper and make you buy into their ecosystem or app, so you want to keep buying their products. I didn’t do it, so now I have an app for every smart switch, 3 way switch, garage door opener, and outlet that I have purchased. I won’t let them lure me into their trap!!

I picked up a two-pack of the Meross wifi light switches to replace some Wink based that now require a paid subscription to use with my Alexa based automation. The installation was straight forward, but you do need a neutral wire (usually white) for this to work! I installed this into a 2-gang box and the switch is fairly deep so I had to tuck the wires in behind the traditional switch (on the left). To save on space, I hooked the ground wires directly to the 2-gang box. The included merrets are a nice touch and make the wire connections easy.If you have never replaced or installed a light switch or plug before there are typically 3 colors of wire: Black for power, White for neutral, Copper/green for ground. The instructions included in the switch do a decent job in identifying which are which and which wires connect together. What may be confusing is the difference between the LINE IN and LINE OUT wires as they’re both black. With the power turned on (at the fuse panel) and the switch turned off, use an electrical tester to identify which one has electricity — this will be the Line IN.Connection to wifi on my iphone was easy, and only took a few minutes to walk through the steps on the Meross iOS app.I took a picture of the normal switch next to the Meross switch (on the right) to show the very slight difference in ‘white’ when side by side. Not too noticeable in my opinion.Overall happy with the product and the value based on the price. I have a variety of switches, plugs, and bulbs from different manufactures (wemo, kasa, CE Smart, Prime Wire) and have no issues controlling any of them via Alexa.Connection

Installed 10 units, 4 of them would not conect to WIFI. exchanged defective 4 units . 3 installed on WIFI , 4 units did not. These units do not factory rest very well .Configured one unit with wrong WIFI settings. tried to change / reset it by using the instructions it came with. Used 4 different phones including a new phone to try and configure it.No phone would stay connected with it. Disconnected unit for 24 hr than tried agene with same result .Set up a different WIFI network. Reset a working unit to see if could reconfigure but no success. There are 8 units that work 100% but the last 2 units do not .Will have to exchange the last 2.These units definitely have WIFI issues. note we have the router and all 10 units in the same room that is the size of a bus.Other than the WIFI issues they work Great. but if you have to reconfigure your WIFI network you will probably not be able to reconfigure units.Support was poor they were unable to understand what I was stating .Or they were trying to drowned me in red tape.Sent pictures of the problem they kept asking questions , what is the model number the WIFI id of the working units and of the defective units what router am I using. Tried reconfiguring the phone`s WIFI to operate differently . nothing worked. Will not get these units again . Might send back all units back and have on order other dimmer unit from different manufacture.

Easy install but watch out for the bottom mounted terminals as they protrude further than a conventional side terminal switch. Iâd recommend electrical tape over the terminals before inserting into your electrical box.Nice looking switch and you can toggle the WiFi LED on/off if you find it looks too busy. The status LED on the On/Off button is handy if youâre not in eyesight of the controlled light as itâll be on if device is off.Only real gripe I have with all the Meross devices is a total loss of remote control when your internet is down. Philips HUE continues to operate normally when that happens.IâM UPDATING THIS REVIEW: THREE OF MY FIVE SWITCHES ARE NOW DEAD. NO CONNECTION, NO MANUAL CONTROL.ONLY OFFER ONE YEAR WARRANTY.- POOR QUALITY
