Its a good tablet
This 4 year old tablet was overall a good deal, it has many good and bad points.First the bad ones.It only has 32GB storage, you can use a micro SD card as storage but it is slower.Has only 3 GB ram not a big deal 4 GB would be better. That,s real ram not the fake stuff they list now.Bloatware between Samsung and Verizon there is bloatware.Android 9 you can only upgrade to 11 you still get security updates with 11 so its okTFT screen instead of IPS it is a very good TFT screen though I would have thought it was IPScame with a zero charge battery and needed forever to do 4 years of updates. The good pointsprice 110 dollars for this build quality is greatthe screen looks great its 1920 by 1200 on a 8.4 inch screen and is very bright. viewing angles great tooThe SOC is good its no gaming tablet but with 6 cortex A53 and 2 cortex A73 cores it handleslight gaming easilyhas headphone jackhas micro SD card slot sim card slot and the wireless service is unlocked no ESIM though need a card.I put in my sim card from my google FI phone and got data no problembattery life, I set my battery to never charge above 85% and still get great battery life in airplane mode.I got this to use as an ebook reader. I tried a Walmart ONN tablet and returned it right away. This was thecheapest name brand tablet under 9 inches with a high resolution screen. Also works well forvideo it has Widevine security level 1 and should play videos fromNetflix or anybody at full resolution.I would recommend this to anyone looking for a budget tablet with cellular data available.

Highest resolution, 8 inch class, cost-effective tablet with real GPS. Upgrades to Android 10.
I bought this for one reason. To run Avare. There are not many 8 inch tablets that have GPS, 1920 x 1200 screen resolution, run Android 10, and have decent battery life. This is one of them.It replaces a couple of disposable 8 inch Amazon Fire tablets I had been using for that purpose. Those don’t have internal GPS, are slower, don’t have the nice screen resolution, don’t come with Google Play installed, and don’t run Android 10. This tablet has a much higher resolution and a bigger screen, while the overall tablet size is about the same. I am contradicting some of the other reviews — this tablet updates itself (over several updates) to Android 10 (Kernel 4.4.177).I have the Verizon version (not using the data) but I believe all of these have GPS, Glonass, and BeiDou because of the cell hardware. For my purpose, the form factor and resolution is good for looking at approach plates without obstructing view of the panel like a 10 inch or larger tablet would. There are only two minor annoyances. 1) It is only 32 Gb and has the usual Samsung bloatware that takes up space and needs to be cleaned out. 2) It has an accelerometer but no other sensors (like a compass). So if you were wanting to use an astronomy program or a VR program or an aviation program. It won’t know what direction you are pointing the tablet — unlike any moderately priced cell phone.

Samsung tablet
So, I’m a Samsung gal. My phone and other tablets are Samsung. I have never had a problem with any of them. I love my new tablet. It’s just the right size for reading at 8.4.

Just what I expected!
My Samsung Galaxy Tablet was just what I expected. I am enjoying it.

Good…but
Good pricing. The tablet comes with a Verizon app that relentlessly tries to sign you up with Verizon. I was able to disable it but not Uninstall. And there were no less than 9 Samsung updates to install with more on the way. PITA! And they want me to call Samsung to complete the activation

Worst of 5 Samsung Tablets I’ve owned
Putting aside the Verizon bloatware and conatnts demands to sign up for LTE service, I can says that this is easily the worst tablet I have ever owned. I have always preferred 8″ or so tablets for the easier ability to use with one hand. I have had several iterations of the Tab S line and Tab A line in this size. I expected to continue liking them when this was announced. Nope.Despite other complaints, I have been able to update to Android 10 and recently, 11 (including One UI 3.1). Updating to 11 has killed it in terms of lag (especially when switching between portrait and landscape modes) and generally sluggishness. Apps take forever to launch despite doing several hard resets to get back some performance.Worst of all, bluetooth is now unusable. On a flight last night, the number of interruptions/signal losses while sitting two feet away was unbearable. Even with multiple sets of earphones.Looking forward to new iPad Mini

Excellent replacement for an older 8.4″ S that I broke by accidently dropping it! Great screen and sound quality. Touch Screen quite sensitive. Battery life very good.
