Great Product and Glad I Have it “Handy” for emergencies or camping
I bought this for “peace of mind.” But I’ll probably take it on a future “cabin camping” trip, too. But yep, if a winter storm is coming in , I keep jugs of water in the home and garage — I always remember having to boil water a few times, when power went out, and we got the “boil water” notice. Rare — but it happens. Very heavy plastic, but it’s still foldable for storage.

Too Flimsy
Itâs got a lot of things going for it that work out well for me. It has one fatal flaw though. The threaded portion that the spout attaches to, is made of the same soft plastic. Iâve tried numerous times and it either leaks, or the spout pops off. End result is the same, Iâm out of water.

Pliable plastic and good handles
A must have for camping or if you just need a source of water to be dispensed while away from a faucet. Before, I would always buy the 2.5 gallon rectangular water containers from the grocery store and they would double as drinking water, as well as faucet water for hand and face washing, since they have a sort of valve or dispenser. This carrier makes things easier because it is much easier to refill and the faucet works smoothly allowing you to open and close the tap easier. As the water is dispensed, its pliable design collapses it which makes transport and storage easier when empty. The handles seem solid enough to move the carrier around when full and allow you to stand it up in a couple of different ways without being so flimsy that it easily falls over.

Good, with limitations
These are inexpensive and collapsible, and reasonably sturdy. I bought four for my Scout troop. One sprung a pinhole leak immediately, so I figured that experiment was over, but the other three have been solid for more than 10 campouts since then, and I have bought a fourth to replace the one that failed.HOWEVER: We use these for wash water, not for drinking water. I would be hesitant to use them for drinking water, at least in the long run, because of the difficulty of cleaning them. The spigots run slowly. This is not a problem if you’re filling a cup. It’s more of a problem if you’re filling a dishpan.CAUTION: It is very easy to cross-thread the spigot assembly when attaching it to the body. Be gentle and make sure it is threaded properly. It should screw on easily and land straight; if it is not straight then it is wrong.NOTE: I first bought an off-brand clone from Walmart to replace the Coleman one that failed. I am not immediately able to find the exact name, but it was *not* equivalent. On the Coleman one the spigot assembly is mounted on the side of the body and points down. On the off-brand one the spigot assembly is mounted on one edge of the body and points back towards the bottom of the body at about a 45 degree angle. I was unable to find any way to position the jug and spigot assembly so as to make it convenient to use. I hate it.

Perfect. We have a wagon
Perfect. We have a wagon; used it to carry washing water from a water source to the camp. Remember to set it up off the ground, we used a 5 gal bucket. Worked perfectly. We swabbed the screw grooves with a bit of coconut oil to ensure that they are easy to take apart and put back together multiple times.Plastic makes your water taste funny if you don’t rinse it out first, or store it in the sun. You don’t want your drinking water in the sun in plastic anyway. This was perfect for the camp washstand. Remember to dry before storing, and keep the cap off in storage. We used a wire tie to connect it to the handle when not in use.

Easy to carry with handle
I like that itâs got two handles on it. It leaks a little even if you close it all the way. The water doesnât come out very fast so this is good for handwashing. I wouldnât use this for drinking water. Itâs easy to fold down when empty. The plastic is durable, but when setting it down it isnât stable. Iâve had water in this for about a week and it now has a yellow tint to it.

Carrier takes 45+ minutes to empty
I gave this two stars because it does one thing well, it holds water. The big problem is that it holds onto it far too well. If you are purchasing this to transfer water, it is horrible. The spout is small and it creates a vacuum in the tank, the result is that it takes about 45 minutes for this carrier to empty when it is hung by the handle and the valve is opened all the way.We have a pop up trailer, and when we camp where there aren’t water hook ups, we have to use something like this to haul water and refill the 25 gallon on-board tank. My system is to hang a carrier like this from a camera tripod and open the valve to drain the water into the trailer tank. I bought two of these so I could empty one while I was filling the other. Because these empty so slowly, it would take me close to 4 hours to fill the trailer. The carrier I had before I bought these was from a company called Reliance, they are more expensive but it seems like the extra cost is 100% worth it for what I need this for.I decided to add some pics of what I ended up doing. I went to Cal Ranch and bought 2′ of braided vinyl hose with a 1″ OD, then I cut out the inside of the valve and stuck the hose through it. Now it empties in about 15-20 seconds and works like a champ, it doesn’t shut off but for what I will use it for it works. I’m going to leave the rating at two stars because if I was purchasing this and was using it as it comes, it would SUCK!!!

Another generation of the Coleman water bag
I grew up camping with this product. I didn’t really know anything different. It doesn’t insulate or protect your water at all, but I didn’t need that. This does exactly what it’s designed to do – hold water and dispense it when needed. It collapses well enough that I can stuff it onto a shelf or into a bin for storage until my next camping trip. I’m glad that I bought one of these for myself and will suggest it to all of my generations to come as well.

I bought a few knockoffs of these from the dollar store because I figured what difference does it make?!? Well, it’s a difference between having a water carrier and having wet shoes and a busted piece of cheap plastic. These are great because they pack down to nothing, you can walk them to a water source anywhere (provincial camp ground or other) and haul them back to camp without them breaking on you. So yes. Durable. Though I suspect if you place them on a sharp stump or rock you’re asking for it. Definitely NOT for backcountry camping. Sweet mother they’re heavy. I guess that makes them great for fitness nuts that need to get in some bicep curls next to the fire pit?Keep in mind it’s important to clean them out. Little bleach and hot water slosh when you get home, then leave the cap off in storage to let the water vapours completely evaporate. Otherwise you end up getting that funky smell over time.

This is a handy product to carry water on your travel..longevity of the product has to be assessed.

Súper compacto, no pesa casi nada, no fuga agua y es muy practico para acampar, ir de picnic o para cortes de agua en la ciudad.

This works well. It’s nothing fancy, holds water, but slowly leaks around the tap. It just drips, doesn’t bother me because we use it outside only and just turn it so the tap is in top when we aren’t using it. Its pretty much what I would expect for the price.
