Great for working out, music, phone…
I’m actually on my second pair of these after somehow losing my first pair. I love them! I had been looking for a good set of phones for the gym. I don’t like ear buds (or anything that goes in my ear) and the over the ear headphones just never were secure enough. Enter these little guys. They’re perfect. The sound clarity is excellent, but they don’t completely block out all external sounds. And even though they don’t cover your ears, external noise isn’t as distracting as you might think. The fit is wonderful. The bar goes behind your head and the ear pieces go over your ear while the ‘receivers’ press against your jaw bone. While that might sound a bit weird, they’re actually very comfortable. And the sound quality is great. Be warned that if you listen to loud music with much bass, the buds will vibrate and for me, it’s an odd tickle. Other than that, music sounds great. Phone use is seamless. Incoming and outgoing calls route through the headset and the sound quality is excellent. These are a great option for someone who wants a quality, comfortable, multipurpose headset.

    Wow! These Shokz are GREAT!
I had no idea that bone conduction speakers would work this well!I have a solo outside job, and I love to have something to listen to (tunes, audiobooks, podcasts, etc.). I’ve tried a dozen different types of earbuds over the years; none have fit me well (but my adult kids love getting them”hand-me-downs” of my failed experiments). Headphones work great for me – I’m fond of Soundcore’s line of noise-cancelling cans – but become a hot sweaty mess when it gets hot. Further, I’m an avid cyclist, and I’m loath to lose audio clues of traffic. The solution to all of these (admittedly first-world) woes is these Shokz headphones! Completely open ear, nice fit on the temples, sit firmly on my head but so comfortable that I can wear them for hours. I’d give the sound quality a solid B grade; I’m also a musician (not great, but enthusiastic), and while these will never be confused for studio reference cans, they’re more than good enough for daily activities.I’ve only had these for a week, and I’ve not yet confirmed battery life – but they’ve outlasted my activities so far. One minor issue is that they use a proprietary (as far as I know) USB charging cord; the plug appears to be water-resistant (unlike USB-C, let’s say), but I’d love to have the option to charge in my truck and in my shop.Comes with a nice little drawstring bag, too.I’ll update after I’ve used them for a while, but my first impression is VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Comfortable enough to wear all day long!
Great audio quality. Very comfortable. I like the mini size, it fits well and it comfortable enough to wear all day long. Has a long battery life & charges quickly. I use it for walking & working out & just general use all day long. I like that you can still hear other sounds around you so they are very safe to use. I bought them to use at shotgun competitions with my custom molded ear plugs. Now I wear them every day! Previously I used custom molded earplugs with sound but they were expensive & didn’t work as well as these.

Lovely alternative if you don’t want stuff in your ears as often
I snagged these as part of my prime day purchases. 90 bucks – These are surprisingly solid.Bond conduction tech is good. I work in a studio sometimes and have to sit in on productions, rehearsals etc. These allow me to hear what’s coming from my phone, at the same time leave my ears open to hear what’s around me. It’s a pretty wild experience at first.Sound Quality is good. In the simplest terms, it’s like an open speaker is being directly pointed at your ears. You’re not going to get the bass you desire if that’s your fancy. Outside of Johnny Cash I haven’t run any real music through these. I love using them for podcast listening and voice chat. Speaking of – the mic on this model is fantastic. According to the discord, better than the airpods pro.The bad? Anything that could be a perceived ‘bad’ I knew going in. Like, laying down with these on? Not really doable. But, they’re incredibly lightweight and can be worn for hours on end. Great around the house companion if you wish to retain your spatial awareness while also listening to a book.**Get a spare charge cable. The after markets are inexpensive, this is a proprietary charger (magnetic)https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BFKG4SNM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I recently lost my Shokz Openrun minis while on vacation, so thought I would try a high end Open Ear alternative with directional acoustics as a replacement. While the open ear buds were high quality and highly reviewed, within a few hours using them I realized how superior the Shokz had been, compared to the open ear. The Shokz are far more comfortable, light weight and well fitting; I forgot I had them on. The sound clarity is exceptional in comparison. They are easy to operate with minimal buttons on clean lines, and hold a charge for at least 10 hours. I had not ever run the battery down completely. They are a better design then any other in-ear or open-ear headphones that I have used. They totally hit the sweet spot for comfort, ease-of-use, and sound quality. I have now bought new Shokz Mini to replace the lost ones and will be more careful not to lose them in the future.

Friend of mine recommended it because she knew I biked a lot, and so I wanted to give it a try. Honestly, for what I paid, it is definitely worth what I paid for. The sound quality is really good and clear, and ironically still makes it hard to hear people when you turn up the volume. When I use it when I’m biking, it is exceptional, I do put it up to the higher volumes but it still gets drowned out to some degree by traffic or ambient noise (i.e. wind). I also use it when I go climbing and it’s so nice to listen to my own music and still be able to openly talk to other climbers. I think it makes it easier for me to talk to people and not make them feel like they’re bothering me, because I enjoy talking to people in the climbing gym.As someone who also has a lot of issues with earwax build up and discomfort when I wear earbuds for long hours in a day, these bone conduction headphones are perfect for what I need and the battery enough for the day.Downside isn’t necessarily the charging or battery life, it lasts the ideal length and I quickly plug it in for 30 mins – 1 hour at night. It’s the charging plug not being a convenient, such as USB-C or Micro-USB port. I don’t like dealing with one more additional cord to account for in my travels, as oppose to having a single universal cord.
