Keeping the grandchildren busy
This was a budget friendly surprise for my granddaughter. She is only 8, for a beginner she loved this as it took minimal adult help. She was happy to be able to complete the kit almost by herself. This kept her busy for hours. The material is durable, not thin and included a variety of colors and textures. This made a beautiful memory for my beginner sewer. Thank you

Perfect kit for my 6 year old grandaughter!
I bought this as a gift for my 6 year old grand daughter. She absolutely loved it! She chose to make the organizer first. I was afraid that that would be too much for her to do as the first project but she really wanted to do it. Each of the pattern parts have a project # . So i had her find all of those first. The needles have nice big eyes. So she was able to thread them herself. The only thing in the kit that we didn’t like was the scissors. They are worthless! They don’t even cut as well as a child’s school scissors! I did have to tie double knots for her since she tended to pull the thread through fabric. But that wasn’t a quality issue since they used perforated felt for the fabric. The preforations help the child keep the stitches in line and even. This was such a big help for her! She kept counting how many stitches she had gotten done. She was so proud of herself! When she got done i did go back and reinforced the top pocket with an extra stitch and knotted it well since she decided to stuff the remaining packs of embroidery thread floss in there so her top stitch had pulled away. She put the needles in 1 pencil holder pocket and the scissors in the other. Where the name pocket is, she wants her mom to put a card with her picture and name. She did so well with this because if the perforations made it so easy for a young child to do and feel so accomplished!

A well made and well designed sewing kit for a child who’s never stitched or used a needle and thread. The instructions on what order to make the items was right on, from easy to hard, to build confidence. The child will need some help and guidance, but its so easy for them to learn and succeed. My six year old grand daughter loved this kit and was so proud of the items she sewed.
