AMOLED screen, stereo speakers makes nice media player
I bought this to use in the bathroom so I can watch youtube when I’m on the can, works great for that. Replaces an older HTC with slightly smaller LCD screen and mono speaker. (Tried an A32 (int’l version with AMOLED) I had lying around but it only has a mono speaker. That phone was my 1st experience with AMOLED and spurred me to buy a SONY OLED tv.) The stereo is a nice upgrade, not going to shake the house down but provides a nice presence. Seller provided a USB-C charging block at no charge.

Nice Phone
I bought this after my A34 died. This is a nice upgrade and one of the things that was important to me was the E-Sim capability. Yes. this phone has that. I only have had it for a short time, but so far so good.

UNLOCKED may not be true
Ordered 2 Samsung Galaxy A55 phones advertised as UNLOCKED, which I understand to mean it can be used on any carrier network; opened both boxes and proceeded to setup one up on current network; unfortunately, carrier tech support informed me that the phones appeared to be tied to another network carrier, to T Mobile, which I do not use. In addition, purchased sim card for my carrier, however, could not keep current number; tech support said “it is the phone, not the sim card”.

claims to support american carriers. barely.
i have attached the bands for each major carrier. as you can see it bands that is supported is i believe 1 which is n71 so for tmobile/mint yuo would only get slow speed 5g of 600mhz. all the super fast speeds arnt compatible.

If you want a replacement for the Samsung S series don’t buy this as it has clearly lower quality parts and components (particularly the camera and its display).However, with the cost of this phone considered, it is a very good and fantastic option for a low budget phone.

Display was excellent, phone itself was very good. However it was not compatible with the 4g 5g network of my provider Virgin/Bell so LTE network was the only one it worked on had to return it as my old A52 was faster being compatible with my provider….

I got the phone recently. As I was wondering about what specs are included in this version of the phone before ordering, here they are:- that seems to be the LATAM version of the A55, with the reference A556E/DS- it has NFC- it has two SIM slots (also compatible with eSIM), one of the slots can be used for microSD card instead of a SIM card- it comes with 128GB of storage (it wasn’t 100% sure from the description).- note that while this phone has a hot-spot feature (you can share Internet via WiFi), it cannot be connected to WiFi itself (i.e. you are supposed to share a cellular connection)So far so good but obviously it hasn’t been long since I got it.
