Great pants for outdoors
Thank you Columbia for making inclusive sizing. These pants are lightweight, comfortable, and great for being longer so less skin areas need bug spray and sun screen. The pockets are lined in mesh and are a bit small but do hold a phone, barely. Too much weight in the pockets will cause sagging pants, but the drawstring helps keep them up in place as you can tighten them. The fabric was lightweight but I never got wet in them so I cannot say how quickly they dry out. These were a slightly awkward length for me, not hitting where the photo showed, but I was looking for comfort and breathability not a runway fashion statement. Overall, these pants will likely become my outdoor go to! Thank you for reading this review and I hope you found it helpful!

Colors fit differently
These shorts are great! I ordered the blue and the grey. They are lightweight and comfortable. I wore them to an amusement park in the summer. They held up well and dried fast after a water ride even with the humid air.The blue fits true to size. I tried two different pairs of the grey, and both of them fit differently than the blue. The rise in the front is short on fabric giving them an uncomfortable feeling of being too small. I did return the grey pair.All in all, I would purchase these again and would give 5 stars if the grey was properly made.

What’s up with the City Gray sizing?
I own 5 pairs 2 black, 2 Nocturnal and 1 Tusk all fit great. I ordered the City Gray 3x even straight from Columbia and they are 2” smaller in the waist band. I showed a photo laying flat it an 1” smaller so that equals 2 “ total front and back. The hips and legs are the same just around the waistband.I love thé length, slim leg and fabric. I use them for running and walking or just to wear around town.I’m a slim, athletic older women, so short shorts aren’t the best for me anymore. I live in Hawaii and want to stay active and these are just what I was looking for.The sizing is not real consistant. I had to order a few in the same size. To get one that fit. Also keep in mind they do stretch. I think that when I ordered more and they were tighter than my 1st pair, mine stretched a little. Once I got one I could button it did fit better after wearing them for a day.I’m 5’4” 115-117 lb and the size 4 fits me. I wear a small in workout tights. I hope this helps.Up date I tried 3 more times to get a City Gray that fit. They fit like a 2 or smaller in the waistband.I really want a Gray pair a tried the 6 and it was big all over. Come on Columbia fix this issue

Great multi-purpose shorts for the insane Southern summer
I really like these shorts! (They fit a bit more above my knees than they do the model’s knees – probably because I have more thighs than she does. Still look good, but if you also have thighs and are worried about showing someone your knee, be warned!) I bough them because I wanted a practical pair of shorts to wear for summer on the Georgia coast. (Sort of subtropical weather – super hot, super humid, with thunderstorms almost every afternoon.) Denim is very heavy, while this fabric is very light and breathable. The repellency in the fabric is handy for rain *and* for sweat, and these will dry quickly if they get wet. And because they’re longer and have the extra sun protection, I don’t have to put on as much sunscreen on my legs – win in my book! They are comfortable and easy to wear for a wide array of activities. I don’t look out of place taking my kid on walks, going shopping, or exercising in them.

These are great shorts for work. Sleek, fit well, just above the knee. They wash well. These days it’s difficult to find shorts that are a good length but not bulky or wide.
