You need to get this if you have an elderly and/handicapped person struggling to get in and out of bed.I bought this for my elderly dad who can barely walk and has trouble sitting up or standing on his own from his bed without slipping and falling. He has also fallen out of his bed during sleep. This railing is easy to assemble, very sturdy, made of good quality material and even has a strap for added security. The BEST part is that ALL of it is adjustable in different sections; which is BRILLIANT!! I can adjust the middle piece that goes in between the mattress to properly fit its height, which I put at the longest length with the strap attached. Though I have attached the strap I haven’t used it yet because I’d have to move the bed away from the wall to do so. However, that is optional anyway but I attached it because I plan on moving the bed to secure it to the frame on the other side. It is extremely sturdy and durable without it. There’s no way this is pulling out from under the mattress.The handle is nice and wide and also adjustable. The double sided, pocketed, removable storage bag is a HUGE BONUS!! It attaches with secure grip velcro and the material looks easy to clean with probably just a few wipes as the material seems water resistant. My dad can put his remotes and cell phones in there and still has room for other things he chooses as the pockets are wide and are several, including a very large deep pocket in the front that can fit books or magazines.The legs to the floor are also adjustable to your box spring height with adjustable rubber grip like knobs at the feet to compensate for uneven surfaces and is slip resistant.This is a total must buy!! My dad loves it! He’s gotten up out of his bed more in the last couple of days since I’ve bought it than he has in a while without struggling as much. He doesn’t fall out of the bed while sleeping with this on, he sits up to eat and gets up to go the bathroom with more confidence on his own than ever before.Upon initial installation, I considered getting an additional one for the foot end of the bed for support on both of his arms but we don’t need it. Intuitive assembly – no (useful) instructions included
Purchased this bedrail for my 74 yo mother following her hip surgery. She is 225 lbs and 5’2″. Getting in/out of bed was a struggle, given the limited mobility during her recovery.Pipe Assembly: The frame of the bedrail assembled easily, and for anyone who has put together a locking button pipe system before, I’d say it was fairly intuitive. Picture instructions (no words) helped you guess the best order for assembly. This is a one person task.Strap assembly: The challenge came when trying to install the strap that keeps the rail anchored to the bed frame. There are no picture instructions or words to describe how to thread the hardware on to the strap. I did my best, but I’m pretty sure I did it incorrectly, either that or the piece doesn’t provide enough resistance to truly lock the strap in place (which is also a good probability).Installation: After being assembled, the horizontal bar needs to be inserted between the boxspring and the mattress. This was a tricky task because of the small space between the bed and the wall. One person could probably push/slide the bar between them, but in my case, I lifted the mattress while my daughter slid the bar up to position from the foot of the bed. As for installing the strap – with patience this could be a one-person job, however, you have to crawl under the bed frame to loop the strap. It was helpful to have my daughter around to catch the strap that I threw to her.Quality: We have both been very pleased with the quality and stability of this product. The feature that puts this product above competitors, in my opinion, are the legs that extend to the floor. Without those legs, I believe that the rail would eventually work loose from the bed frame. I’m not sure the strap is really doing much, but it gives me peace of mind that it would prevent the rail from slipping too far from the bed and causing a true disaster. The pouch is helpful for keeping her cellphone close, although the pockets are a bit deep in my opinion; her cell phone is a little difficult to reach if she were to have an emergency. (By the way – comfort? My mother hasn’t complained about feeling the bar underneath the mattress, and she certainly would complain!)

Works really well
Strong , almost invisible on the bed , easy to put together and get on the bed , so handy. Bed rail is extremely sturdy , strong , doesn’t move when pulling on it . I didn’t use the stap it came with for attachment to the bed frame , found it not needed in my case .

Provides Stability
I got this for my dad when he got home from the hospital. It provides the support he needs to get himself into and out of bed. The rail installs pretty easily, and it can be adjusted for all sorts of bed sizes. However, the included strap is designed for beds with bases rather than box springs, and it didn’t work for us. But luckily the rail is plenty stable even without it.

Lo recomiendo, es mas ancho que los demas disponibles en amazon, las patas son ajustables a detalle y queda firme en el piso, sumado a la parte que ya queda fijada debajo del colchon, la cinta que se sujeta a la cama le termina de dar la estabilidad buscada, se lo compre a mi padre para que no se cayera de la cama, en cuanto al ensamblado, esta muy facil de armar, en 5 min, otros 5 en acomodarlo en el colchon y listo
