Strong, reliable, cheap, and multifunctional
This isn’t the greatest game pad in the world. Not even close. It’s a little small for my hands. It’s not the most ergonomic. What it is, is reliable. It just works with anything you throw at it. No configuration required in Windows 11. Plug it in, it works. It’s not the most responsive out there, but it’s pretty good.Button action is decently “medium smooth.”Doesn’t need to be flash. Doesn’t have vibrate / force feedback, but doesn’t matter. For $25, you should have one tucked away as a backup at all times. One never knows when it will come in handy for a random game of Madden, Street Fighter, or Super Mega Baseball.

Perfect for Modern Gaming
I have owned this controller for about five months now and I can say without a doubt I made the proper purchase. It is cheaper than the Microsoft equivalents but works (assuming) just as well. I’ve logged 70+ hours playing Spelunky on this Bad Boy as well as 60+ with Euro Truck Driver 2 and I didn’t have to change a thing in the settings. It worked as soon as the games turned on. And its the same way for every single other game I have played using it (at least 50+, I have a massive Steam library but prefer Keyboard/Mouse for first person games. Rouge Legacy, Dirt 2, Strike Suit Zero, Super Meat Boy, honestly the list could go on for ever but for every single one it was pick up and play using this controller).I must add that I play first person games with keyboard and mouse so if you are looking for review that covers that in particular you may want to skip mine.I have encountered one problem that is going to require a bit of maneuvering and fixing to make work properly. Not all older games subscribe to the “pick up and playness” that I referenced earlier. Honestly so far it has only been one game (GTA: San Andreas), but I’m confident I can fix the issues at hand. It just gives me pause when it comes to other older games that it wont be so easy to “pick up and play”.It fits nicely in my hands (I have very large hands so it may be different for others) and the buttons seem to have normal responsiveness. The triggers have the right amount of resistance so you can make the perfect shot. Cord length is also long and has never been a hindrance to my gaming experiences. It has fallen to the floor a few times off of my desk or out of my sleepy hands but has zero cracks and it has not affected its performance at all. Durability has been great. Triggers still work like they did coming out of the box which is wonderful when you consider a game like Spelunky requires you to hold down the right trigger for speed the entire game.So to recap; Every modern game I have played using it has been a seamless experience. It is as if it is a 360 or PS3 controller. The lone older game I have tried to use it with has been a little wonky to say the least but I am confident I can program it to work the way it has with modern games. I should also add works great with NES and SNES ROMS. I cant believe I had been playing ROMS with a keyboard for so long. A controller makes them infinity easier and just feels right, makes the whole experience a bit more nostalgic. If you are put off because it isn’t an official Microsoft or Sony product stop it. This controller works amazingly with all modern games (again I use keyboard/mouse for first person games so that might make this review completely worthless to you) and with a couple minutes of fooling around can be programed to work perfectly with older games as well.I do not regret buying this in anyway shape or form. It is a perfect controller for me to dig into my obscene library of games. I’m very pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to a friend.

Excellent economy gamepad, durable and effective.
I picked up this controller about 2 months ago in anticipation for Dark Souls 2, which some of you may know is the kind of game that plays much better with a gamepad. However, I was on a tight budget, so when I considered the Xbox controller, I realized it was much more expensive than it really deserved to be. After finding it and browsing around forums, I gathered that with this controller, many had issues with deadzones, but I encountered no such problem. Some people are just more sensitive to response differences than others. Ergonomically, this controller reminds me very distinctively of the standard controller of the Playstation 2 (I’ve never used a PS3 controller, if there’s any difference). The joystick is positioned under the D-Pad, and both feel very smooth in use. The D-Pad itself, as well as the four primary buttons and the bumpers, were relatively loud, and made a clacking noise which could bother some.It worked right out of the box (which may have been aided by the fact that I had Logitech Gaming Software already installed for my G500), which was a nice feature, and every game that supports gamepads identified it immediately, and it was ready to go. With FPS-style games, the deadzone in the right stick becomes slightly more noticeable; fine aiming, as with a sniper rifle, is a bit difficult as motion accelerates quite quickly. However, for games like this, I still prefer a mouse and keyboard. Hack-and-slash, as well as platformers and fighting games like Soul Calibur, benefit greatly from having all controls oriented in a more natural fashion. First use of this gamepad with Rogue Legacy increased my confidence that I made a good purchase. All the buttons responded brilliantly, the joysticks moved as I wanted them to, and the triggers felt very natural, despite the bit of extra resistance that I had to adjust to. After the release of Dark Souls 2 for the PC, I realized I couldn’t have made a better call. The responsiveness was just what one would want in a hack-and-slash, instant reaction without any inaccuracies. Every mistake is at the fault of the user. With this controller still working like the day I first got it, I feel like it’s gonna stick around for quite a while longer. I definitely think this controller is priced as mid-range, but functions at a higher tier than price would suggest. Because I can’t half stars in the overall review, I labelled it as 4, but I would rather give it a 4.5. 10/10 would buy again.

Comfortable if you have small/average-sized hands. If you have big hands, it may take some time to get used to or just be outright uncomfortable to use, would recommend an asymmetrical joystick layout in your case (think Xbox controller design type).Ergonomics aside, this controller has survived 3 dunks onto my floor, more than enough accidental drops, and a slam onto a hard desk (souls-like genre). I firmly believe that this controller could get out of a controller-spike unscathed. All of the plastic bits that hold wiring seem to be just as thick as the controllerâs case, allowing this clunky fella to withstand great amounts of physical shock.Works with Steam and is detected by Windows 11 as a gamepad, further proving its firmware is not bootlegged and is reliable for pc gaming.Wire is a decent length as I can play on my bed, about a meter away from where it is plugged in, without any stress that I will tug the cord.Only confusion I ever had with it is that it uses Xbox controller letters for the buttons (A, B, X, Y) but has the symmetric joystick layout of a DualShock 4, so I kept mixing up how my games should communicate with the controller, which is not even a technical issue, just a matter of preference.

This is a very high quality device and has lasted a lot of game play on my Alienware. If I were to ask for an improvement it would be for it to come with a USB-C adaptor as it is USB-A.
