Build STEM-driven models, such as DJ Bubbles (an octopus spinning records), a pterodactyl, a yeti, and much more! Kinetic sculptures, or automata, are mechanically engineering toys that move when you crank the handle on the side. They move through a series of axles, cams, and cranks that work like the pistons in an engine. Each model includes a papercraft character that you fold and link with LEGO elements.
Build 8 physics-driven kinetic creatures using LEGO Technic bricks and papercraft.
Includes every LEGO element you need!
STEM content about axles, cams, cranks, engineering in everyday machines is included in the 64-page book, alongside the step-by-step instructions.

My grandson’s favorite toy!
This brought a lot of joy to my grandson. He is really inclined to putting things together and watching them work. If you have someone in your family that likes this type of action. You will not be disappointed

Looks like a great product for the kids. They are gifts, so I haven’t opened them yet to give an honest review. They arrived on schedule and were a reasonable price

Great Product
I bought one of these for my 8 year old grandson and one for me. Each week we do a STEM class together over FaceTime and I thought these would be fun and introduce him to how some simple mechanisms create movement. We have done two so far. Punching out the paper images and putting them together proved a bit challenging for him, so his mother does that part with him ahead of our “class.” I am enjoying these as much as he is. Highly recommend.

Read product description
Apparently, I did not read the description well enough to know that this kit DID NOT contain 8 separate LEGO gear bots. I bought it thinking each child could make one. However, there are only enough parts to make each gear bot one at a time. The parts have to be reused with each new build. Also the âpaperâ parts are not sturdy. Theyâre difficult for 8-10 year olds (and their grandma) and would have been much better if they were made of plastic.
