Perfect transmitter – TV to headphone
I purchased this to stream sound from my Sony Bravia TV to my JBL Tune 500 BT headphones. It works perfectly – despite what other reviewers say, there’s no latency. Perfect sound, right on cue.Instructions are VERY minimal – but I am glad to say I could figure it out. You might need to purchase a longer cable (as I did) to be able to connect with larger sized Sony TVs, who are careful to hide away their headphone outs deep into the back of the TV panel, to make it challenging to connect headphones. That’s the fault of SONY, not this manufacturer.Highly recommend this.

Works Great and Sounds Good
I have an older BMW three series. It does not have Apple CarPlay. Somebody got me a CarPlay integration kit that Iâll have a mechanic put in someday, but itâs beyond what Iâm comfortable with because Iâd have to disassemble the dash. In the meantime, I really wanted to play music stream from my phone to my car. This is the trick. It plugs into the line in audio jack for the stereo, and broadcasts from my phone through the receiver to the car stereo. It sounds great. It has a battery, but it also has a power cord, and the power cord plugs into the USB jack right next to the audio line in jack. If my car is on, itâs on. If I had known about this, I probably wouldnât have even bothered with the CarPlay integration kit.

Great value for the money, works with Sony WF-1000XM3
As I am sure is the case with many, I purchased this after seeing it listed by the New York Times in their portable BT transmitter review list. It was bought specifically to allow me to transmit BT audio from my computer to my Sony WF-1000XM3 earbuds. As the Sony earbuds only support SBC with these, I wasn’t expecting stellar audio quality – I usually use them for lectures or podcast-like content, or for fairly low-bitrate music anyway. I wanted to see if the advantages of true-wireless earbuds were worth the sacrifice in quality before I invested in a more expensive BT transmitter and BT receiver+high-end IEMs. As such, I do not use the receive function, and I do not use the battery on the unit – it is always plugged in via USB. I did briefly test the battery though and can confirm it lasts at least 30m.Note: I went with this type unit, instead of USB, because I wanted to have the ability to test it in multiple environments, including while running and in the car for single-ear usage. Normally, I’d go with a USB solution for computer use in order to avoid the conversion of the audio to and back from analog.Initial SetupDead simple – I connected the Line Out on my computer to the input on the transmitter, and alternately, the HP (headphones) out on my stereo receiver to the input on the transmitter. I also tried it with a Sansa Clip+ MP3 player. It worked in all cases, though with the WF-1000XM3 I had to keep the input volume on the BT transmitter under 30% and allow the headphones to do the real amplification, as otherwise the audio would distort.BT SetupFairly simple. I put my earbuds into pairing mode, the transmitter into pairing mode, and they connected within 10s. Afterward, they maintained their connection for the most part, I’ve had to re-pair a couple times over the last three weeks, but that is mostly a learning curve. Re-pairing is easy – just hold the pairing button down for two seconds and place the receiving device in pairing mode.RangeUnpredictable, and sensitive. If the transmitter is located on a desk, at least twelve inches away from other electronics, then the range is remarkable. I can leave the room, pass through the adjacent room, and enter into the next room – a total of maybe thirty feet, through two or three walls – and start to lose audio at the end. This is despite being only five feet from a wireless router. However, if I move the transmitter six inches over so it is next to my monitor, or a couple feet so that it is within three feet of the router, the earbuds will begin to drop out even at ten feet. So it is very sensitive to environment.Audio QualityDecent. Better than I expected, but I haven’t used bluetooth audio in ten years. It can be hard to really gauge it, because the Sony WF-1000XM3 are true wireless earbuds and I can’t A/B test them to compare BT quality to a cable. I would say that the BT audio quality is equivalent to that produced when my Sony earbuds are connected to my smartphone. While it is decent, it can’t compare to wired earbuds of even fairly middling quality. You lose highs and lows. For dialogue content, lectures and the like, no issue.SummarySeems to be a great entry-level transmitter for the average consumer. I’m glad I bought it, because it is reliable and easy to use, and has shown me that the freedom of using wireless earbuds is definitely worth the hit to quality – I can always use my full circumaural headphones if I want to watch a movie or listen critically. Would recommend.

Great travel accessory to use BT earbuds on airplane and in a fitness center.
Purchased this for travel – particularly to use my BT earbuds with aircraft entertainment systems, also in a cruise ship fitness center where some machines have video monitors with 3.5mm audio ports. Easily paired with two separate pairs of earbuds. Connects quickly with whichever pair I’m using, and works great. It’s so great to use my good earbuds instead of something corded – especially when extra cords would be in the way! So far have used only the transmit (and not the receive) capability.

Never worked for me. Bought the much superior competing products and could not be happier!
I made the mistake of buying this ahead of a flight and finding out on the actual airplane that this thing doesn’t work. Nearly a dozen attempts to pair my Apple AirPods Pro 2s to this device failed every single time. The lack of any type of display/usable feedbackto tell you what was going on made resolving the problem even more exasperating.I finally gave up and had to resort to using the crappy headphones provided by United Airlines for my 6 1/2 hour flight on a 787 Dreamliner in Polaris business class.I was so annoyed by the inability to use my AirPods on this flight that I actually researched and ordered the following far superior alternative while cruising at 39,000 feet on that very same 787-9! ;o)BUY THE “SAFEFLY” INSTEAD!”Lavales SafeFly”Dual Premium Bluetooth 5.3 Transmitter Bluetooth Adapter w/Screen for AirPods or Wireless Headphones – Use with Any 3.5 mm Audio Jack for Airplanes, TV, MP3 Player, PC, Switch – Lavales SafeFly Dual Premium. The difference was night and day. This thing worked like a charm right out of the boxwith zero problems. Fantastic audio quality, a much needed LCD display that tells you exactly what’s going on with the unit including how much battery charge you have left. Unlike the product listed here, The SafeFly is the real deal!So don’t waste your time with this one here when there’s something so much better available, and often times is actually pricedcnmoll on Amazon.

Used it on an airplane and watched a movie with my husband together. This split the audio to our headphones and ran the sound via bluetooth and was great.

3 star ease of use rating because the enclosed instruction print is extremely small and mixed with many translations so it clutters the page. As well being brief on usage instructions.A few days after delivery, I did receive an email via amazon from Amazon Seller – 1MiiDirect giving instructions in English only for device usage. This was very helpful. They are willing to answer questions if further assistance was needed. There is no indication of how long the charge on the battery will last and there is no way to change the installed battery when it will no longer hold a charge, so it becomes e-waste at that point. You can use an earphone with standard stereo jack but is has no volume control. If the transmitting device has no volume control the signal will be very loud. With a “source” volume control the volume is well controlled. The charging cable is usb-A male to usb-C male. It will work with a USB-c to USB-c if you have one. It can charge from USB connections but interestingly it will not charge with an Anker 313 rapid charger. Both transmit and receive modes work. This can be important when you send (transmit) a signal from a TV sound audio extractor without bluetooth to a bluetooth speaker or you want to receive a signal from a PC and listen to the audio with earphones that is plugged directly into this device. There is no noticeable lag between the audio and tv picture synchronization as there maybe with bluetooth.Well worth the purchase for the capabilities and price.

This is such a brilliant little device, so many great useful applications.I bought it to plug into my really nice computer speakers, it works so seamlessly, I have it plugged into the aux on the speakers, so I can use them with my phone Bluetooth, all the while they stay operational with my computer. And it’s also amazing for travel, if you want to watch titles on the airlines tv, plug this baby in and use your noise canceling Bluetooth headphones! For the money this purchase is an absolute no brainer, everyone should have one laying around.
