Very sturdy
Purchased these strainers to replace some flexible silicone strainers. They are very sturdy and do the job. They just rest on top of the drain, but I have had no problems with food particles getting under or around them. No problems with rusting – I just put them in the dishwasher and they come out clean and shiny.

I bought these twice, once in 2016 and now in 2024 again (I moved houses in between and lost one of them). I had purchased something with a more “net-like” appearance, but it constantly clogged up the sink and then the water got to stay in and couldn’t drain and it kept growing nasty stuff so I had to clean it multiple times a day. It was really gross, so I threw those away and searched my purchase history in amazon and found them again. For the same price nevertheless, which is awesome. They’re totally worth it, I am so glad I found these again. It keeps most of the bits in it so stops the sink from clogging, but due to living on a farm and constantly having to wash all sorts of animal stuff off, it’s great that it doesn’t clog up immediately and it’s easy to empty out and clean out, it doesn’t rip up the sponge (like the finer mesh one did), and it doesn’t have stuff growing between the mesh (this is a better material, very easy to keep clean). I would definitely recommend! I will buy this again when the need arises.

The apartment moved into doesn’t have a garbage disposal, and I’m not trying to clog the sinks, so I got these to help catch food to then throw away rather than let go down the sink. They’re effective!

Fits Perfectly
These products are as promised. They fit a normal size drain completely and the holes are small enough to stop food from passing through, while allow the water to run out unhindered. They are lite-weight, but very sturdy. The metal is not flimsy. To clean them, just take them to the trash can and empty it out. You may have to tap it on the side of the trash can to get all the food particles out (which is completely normal). To clean them, just rinse with water. I will be purchasing more when the time comes.

Nice product and well built using stainless steel and has smaller drain holes than my original sink strainers that supplied with the kitchen sink. More waste/garbage are now collected.
