    This Book is a Treasure
I have read almost every book from Sally Clarkson, and I love every book I have read of hers. This book is just as full of wisdom and encouragement as all of her other books, with two added bonuses: 1) With each of Sally’s successive books, she will have that much more wisdom to pour out to us from her cumulative treasure stored within. 2) This is a gorgeous hardcover book with photographs on every page or every other page. It is a feast for the eyes as well as for the soul! It is a doorway (an ancient, red double doorway at that!) into the life and thoughts of a woman who lives up to the name her grandchildren call her -Queenie- as she serves those around her with dignity and a noble heart. Sally is a gift to this world. She is a woman of integrity, substance, deep thought, but also fun! Sadly, most of us may not be able to walk alongside her physically through this life, going out for coffee and talking, but this is the next best way to experience the blessing she brings to all who encounter her. This book will inspire you to live your life well and, I believe, will still be inspiring your descendants many years into the future as it is passed down through the generations as a treasured family heirloom!

    Grace, Love & Wisdom
When I first started reading, Sally Clarkson, I was young and didn’t grasp as much. Having listened to her podcast, AT HOME WITH SALLY, over the past year and a half has been a life giving blessing for me. Now reading through this book with beautiful pictures and wonderful words of wisdom, is just another added blessing. The way that Sally speaks about loving others and showing grace and bringing people into your circle in the spirit of hospitality is so inspiring. At the age of 70 she has so much wisdom to share and does it with such a humble heart. I highly recommend this book!

I am so grateful for this book and especially for the heart of the woman who wrote it. We all need encouragement as we seek to live life well and Sally generously invites us into a very special season of her life and shares some of the lessons she has learned along the way. I highly recommend this book- it’s beautiful and refreshing and a much needed boost of encouragement.

A Beautiful Invitation to Reflect and Dream
I have been waiting months for this beautiful book to make its way into my eager hands. Having read many, if not all, of the book offerings from Sally Clarkson through the years, I anticipated this being a grand and wise summary of her years adventuring with the Lord. I see now that even my heartiest expectations fell so short of the bursting richness of story Sally has so graciously offered us in her reflections. A well lived life – the deepest desire of most every human. Sally takes us on a journey through her own walk with the Lord through years of gentle growth and a steeled determination to enjoy all God had imagined for her every single day. Vicariously walking those golden, cobbled streets of Oxford, arm in arm with our gracious guide, felt to me like a long walk with a beloved friend. Being encouraged and emboldened for my own journey, being reminded of the sacred and eternal work of legacy, and held close in grace as I no doubt stumble along this lifelong path was a treasure and will shape and guide me for many years to come. Well Lived will have a permanent place within arms reach of my favorite reading spot henceforth. I am grateful to Sally, her vulnerability in sharing her reflections has fanned the flame of my own heart’s desire to live well and continue shaping a legacy that will champion my own children toward Christ. If you have ever thought about what it might mean to live well, I encourage you to brew a strong cup of tea, light a candle, grab a cozy blanket, and settle in for a delightfully warm and meaningful word from the marvelous Sally Clarkson!

    What a blessing
What a blessing Sally Clarkson has been to my journey as a mother and homeschooler. That is how I learned about her but the wisdom imparted upon her transcends the homeschooling community. Every mother is a student of Sally’s wisdom. I pray I am able to receive all that she has to share with us.

Wisdom, Inspiration, Vision, and beautiful photos!
As Sally walks us through her time in Oxford, England (with a few trips further down memory lane), she shares 70 years of wisdom to illuminate the path to cultivating and shaping a heart that can live well through all of life’s ups and downs. With plentiful photos, this book could easily serve as a coffee table book to draw the eye, as well as the heart, to the goodness, truth and beauty all around. This book is a worthwhile purchase, and a beautiful gifts to share with a friend… I will return to Well Lived again and again to keep the vision of grace and gratitude in the forefront of my mind and heart.
