Basically brand new
So I’ve always been skeptical of buying refurbished items but my sister did it so I kinda thought why not? I bought this from the seller Wireless Source back on the 17th and I and received it on the 20th. So it was delivered quickly. It came in a brown box with a printed stickt label detailing what’s inside. Upon opening the box, the phone box was wrapped nicely in packaging. I was surprised the seller had placed the phone into another box but super glad they did because it was STROMING! After taking the phone out of the box, first impressions was DAMN! The color is gorgeous and slick, the seller already put on screen protector. It was pretty much brand new! It had no scratches, chips, missing piant, absolutely NOTHING. It came with a charger and the pin to open the sim card area. The phone did come in dead so I immediately placed it on the charger. After about an hour give or take (I went to Walmart so came back so now exactly sure when it was fully charged) it was charged, and I turned it on with no issues. I set up the photo manually which was super simple to do after I inserted my sim card. I didn’t need a code or anything it just asked me if I wanted to use the Sims card or use a new one. Once I verified that I wanted to use the old Sims card, it immediately recognized it as AT&T and asked me to click okay to switch over. Done. All my apps are on and updated. Everything is set to my liking and I’ve had no issues at all. I’ve had the phone for 2 full days now and the phone actually automatically adjust the brighteness if you are outside or in a dim environment. Just be careful because you have to readjust the brightness whenever you like it after. The phone battery life is pretty darn good. I’m currently at 45% and it’s 5:07pm where I’m located. The phone has been used actively since 8am off charger. The camera quality is fantastic. Volume and sound is phenomenal. There is lots of storage and I have plenty more of exploring to do on the phone. I have let the phone die and had no problems with charging and turning back on. It will let you add a fingerprint for protection later one which I thought was cool because I didn’t have to set thay up right away. Samsung is just the best for that. I bought a case to match the phone as well. I absolutely love the phone so far.The only downside, in my opinion, is that I can not add an SD card. Other then that, it’s an exceptional phone. I will definitely update later if anything starts happening or I find cool stuff regarding the phone but so far so good!

Got Canadian Version
I bought a Samsung Galaxy S22 in Acceptable condition. No blemishes, scratches, or issues – it looks brand new. The battery is the same as my old S22 Ultra, which I had for 2.5 years (heavy use = full day/evening). It took about 2 hours to do the Smart Switch and about 2 hours for about 10 system software updates. The phone was hot, but as expected. They sent me a Canadian Version (SM-S901W). It works fine on Verizon (you WILL need to activate it with a physical SIM on CDMA). GSM can be activated via eSIM. My phone is unlocked (Not factory Unlocked). I preferred the US Version; that info on which version you’re getting is not listed on the page. This is my backup phone, so I don’t care much. I will test the phone on the Verizon network and update you if there are any issues. I did have to go through some manual steps to get data to work on the phone; my provider had the step-by-step instructions – pretty self-explanatory, but if you go with CDMA (Verizon, Sprint, or their resellers) with this phone, be prepared to do a little extra work to get it running. Calls and texts were activated immediately without any tinkering.

I’m dissapointed
NOT FACTORY UNLOCKED! I didn’t realize this immediately because it is not specifically sim-locked, and data and calling worked fine. Fast forward 6 months, I get an email from work telling me I’ll be kicked off the MDM policy (work email on personal phone) unless I update my OS. Evidently it was a Verizon phone, which can only receive software updates if you have Verizon SIM card. I have spent days trying to get support from Samsung, Verizon, AT&T, Amazon, and the Amazon seller only to be told to pound sand >:[It would seem my only option now is to take a risk with leaked / pirated firmware flashing, which I’m worried will trip the Knox security (which is the only reason I bought the phone in the first place, as Knox security was required by my employer). The phone itself is also disappointing. I started with a OnePlus 5t, which I was very happy with. When I was required to get a Samsung, I went to an A52 5g. The fingerprint sensor and face recognition were both so bad that unlocking the phone was a massive chore (something I do dozens of times a day). I suffered through this for a little while before upgrading to the S22. I very much resent the trend of under-display sensors which do not perform as well as their more visible counterparts. The S22 ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is vastly better than the optical one on the A52, but it still is inferior compared to a sensor on the back of the phone like on my older OnePlus. Heck, even my old galaxy S5 had a better fingerprint sensor. The face detection is a little better than the A52, but not as good as the OnePlus 5t. It really struggles in low light, and must be directly in front of your face. Nobody does face detection as well as Apple, but that’s probably due to patent limitations (and I refuse to go back to iphone until they allow sideloading). One notable issue both the A52 and S22 suffer is an inability to detect they are in my pocket. I must deliberately place the phone with the screen facing outwards or else the fingerprint reader will constantly register false attempts against my leg (which will lock you out of using biometrics)Battery life is not impressive. Once again the 5t was better. This may not be entirely fair b/c I do use the always-on display, but on the other hand the processor should be much more efficient for how much newer it is. I mostly believe this is similar to the issue of constantly waking up in my pocket. A proper proximity sensor could have solved this rather than just using the selfie camera, which is again another example of form over function (It also seems like samsung doesn’t even attempt to detect being in you pocket in order to reduce battery / ignore touch screen).

Excellent Conditions
The phone arrived in perfect conditions; I could’ve not told it’s renewed if I have not bought it. There’s not a single scratch on it I could notice. It came with a cheap charger that overheated, so I had to buy a Samsung Original one. That was OK, since nowadays this kind of cellphones always come without a charger. The battery does not last as much as I was expecting, but it’s hard to tell its condition because I bought this phone for my wife, and she uses it really intensively, way more than I would, so I don’t have a point of comparison.
