It got gross pond water completely clear
It worked to clean pond water, and it was quick enough to hold the attention of 8 and 9 year olds.We used this for a Girl Scouts Brownie Wonders of Water Journey demonstration, where we talked about how not every girl has access to clean water and sometimes they have to walk awhile just to get dirty water that can make them sick.We met at a local reservoir with a beach, so they could go to the water and collect it safely in buckets. The water was pretty gross: yellow and full of sand and other floating bits. (You can see the before in the back of the photo, and the after in the bottom.) We poured it into a clear container so they could watch it work and take turns stirring for five minutes. Within a few minutes after stirring, most of the gunk had already sunk to the bottom. Even other adults and kids playing nearby had stopped to watch. We filtered it through a cotton shirt and it caught all the waste and left completely clear water.The water had a faint chlorine smell. I did taste it as part of the demo with a very small sip and it reminded me of drinking water from a hose as a kid. It’s possible the taste would be diluted if we had actually spread the packet out over the 10 liters it says you can use one packet for instead of the smaller amount of water we did. Would I want to chug this? Not really, but I felt safe drinking it. I’ll keep the other packets in our emergency gear to have on hand in case of natural disasters.

A truly amazing product. It is awesome.
The product is awesome.!!! It turned cloudy river water into sparkling water. With the water I used, I ended up with water that was almost as good as city water. It was very good, just a little more chlorine than normal sap water. Passed out samples. everyone liked it. One person thought it was better than our tap water.My reason for the 4 stars is because the product I received was manufactured a year ago. This matters because they have a pretty short shelf life. Glad I didn’t order more of them.

Purifier plus Flocculant
There are a lot of cheap chlorine based purifiers but this product contains calcium hypochlorite plus a flocculant, an inert molecule that causes debris and impurities to aggregate and settle out of suspension, leaving very clear water. The purified water decants easily off the top or is much easier to filter. Highly recommended.

Emergency use
I bought these for emergency use since the RV resort where I am staying had a water interruption for about three weeks while they laid new line. I donât ever want to be caught in that situation again so I bought these for emergency use. I havenât use them yet and maybe maybe I wonât ever have to but it sure is nice to know that they are in the cabinet.
