A fun purchase or cute gift
I love this thing. Itâs adorable. My kids get oddly excited about it every time they see me break it out to strain some noodles. My youngest child wanted to name it. Itâs still early but it has done well in my dishwasher so far.

I love it
When using this crab, the pasta boiling water always ends up in the end, but the crab is so cute that it is forgivable .

Fits on EVERYTHING!
Love it. It fits on all of my pots and even my cast iron Dutch oven (didnât have pots when I first bought this so I boiled my pasta in the Dutch oven). It has a nice tight grip and wonât come off unless you are intentionally taking it off. We have a small kitchen and limited space so having this instead of a regular colander has been pretty awesome!

Works well, easy to clean.

Just dont
Obviously cute, but not functional at all. Tried using on many foods to strain and it just isnât big enough to keep food back. Your food will fall forward and this isnât going to keep it back. Disappointed.

Works great and it’s fun!
I bought this for my daughter and she laughed when she opened it. She said it works great!

convenient for straining larger items
I have yet to use this crab-shaped clip-on pot strainer to strain actual crabs. It is very versatile for straining other larger items. But not thinner pasta. Ravioli, larger tortelloni, matzo balls, dumplings – yes. But not spaghetti, certainly not linguine or angel pasta. I don’t think I’d risk it for fettuccine either.

I injured my hand earlier this year, and having a clip on strainer has made my life a lot easier while I regain my grip. And this one is fun and really solidly made. Adorable, sturdy, and useful. What more could you ask for?
