Hyperkin SupaRetroN HD Gaming Console for Super NES/Super Famicom

Excellent build and performance
I had some reservations initially about buying this Console, but I really wanted an easy solution to play my Super Nintendo games on my HD TVs and after a bit of research, I decided to take a chance with this model.The build quality is really good. I can’t stress this enough, especially for a console at this price. Additionally, it plays all of my cartridges with no problem, including my original cartridges and the Data East collection (multi-game cart) which I ordered at the same time. I played through 2 hours of Chrono Trigger with no noticeable lag or any visible glitches with audio or video. I found that game and every other one I tried (DKC, MK, PM) very playable at the 16:9 aspect which I was not expecting. I also tried the switch to change the aspect ratio to 4:3 and everything looked good there as well.I was very impressed with how good the games looked on my 4K TV, better than when displaying from my SuperNes Classic. Part of that may be the features of my particular set (A Visio M series 65″) but I was very impressed in any event. To my ear, the sound was flawless although there may be some games where that is not the case. I actually found the sound to be just as good as or better than the audio output from my original SuperNes.All in all, this is well worth the asking price. The console is also packaged very well – see photos. It includes 1 Micro USB cable, One HDMI cable, one RCA audio video cable and one AC adapter. I also really love the light that comes on in the right corner when the unit is on. The cartridge eject button is a great feature as well and works just as it should. Currently, I am powering the console off of a USB hub connected to my PC, but there is an included AC adapter as well. The controllers are really good. They feel perfect in my hand and operate well with no lag at all. The 10 foot cord is a nice touch as well. I was really surprised at just how good these controllers felt. I suppose that some people got defective units which is why they posted negative reviews, I’m not sure. I will update this if the performance degrades.

Feels exactly like the original to me
I picked this up after finding a rare Zelda game I had never heard of. I have a snes somewhere…..but old systems don’t have hdmi out, and playing them on a new hd 4k tv is a problem. There are adaptors out there, but top of the line ones are $300+.This system is great, and a super good buy at $60. HDMI works perfect, sound is perfect, the controllers are super nice. Saves seem to be perfect. If you are a super super hardcore retro gamer, the Analog brand SNES may be more your thing if you can find one, but this is basically 100% a Super Nintendo for $60.It has a switch on the back that you can flip mid game for different video resolutions. They both look fine. On my tv one was small screen but looked great and the other was full 60” and looked 99% as good.Mine came with two wired controllers with super long cords, an HDMI cable for your tv, and a small adapter so you can plug into the wall. You don’t need anything else but physical games. This does not have games pre-installed. The build quality is really good and doesn’t feel cheap at all.I looked around and watched 20 ish hours of YouTube, this is the system to get. There is a better system out there….from a company called Analog…..but they have been sold out forever so you’ll pay scalper prices ($500+) on eBay.Packaging was nice and factory sealed.

No iba a escribir ninguna reseña pero bien lo vale la calidad de la consola.Probé el Yoshis Island en una TV full HD de 50 y se realmente bien, parece titulo de generación actual en 2D, hermoso en verdad. Probé ese mismo juego en la consola virtual de Wii U (la version GBA) y aunque es jugable se nota el deslave de gráficos, y en la version de Switch Online aunque es la de SNES se ve algo pixeleado.No pensé en volver a jugar y ver Yoshis Islands con tan buenas graficas fuera de una CRT TV, pero esta consola clon en verdad es gran calidad aun con sus limitaciones. El juego de Tiny Toons Buster Bust Loose le vi un pequeño glitch en la pantalla de press start, (el circulo de colores del logo de Tiny Toons, la parte inferior del circulo salen mal los colores), pero el juego en si corre muy bien en un Full HD de 50, incluyendo los cinemas animados y los minijuegos al inicio de cada nivel, es decir no es nada que afecte el juego en si.Los juegos 2D de SNES que he probado, se ven muy hermosos en una Full HD de 50 (Mario World, Mario All Stars, TMNT IV, TMNT Tournament Fighters, etc), solo los de Mortal Kombat por el tipo de gráficos (fotorealistas) se ve un poco forzada la imagen, pero nada que moleste mucho, o que los haga injugables (UMK3 es el que mejor se ve, y MKII esta aceptable) esto en la TV de 50, porque en una de menor tamaño se ven mejor. No he notado lag ni nada por el estilo, crecí con el SNES en los 90s y me siento igual que cuando tuve la consola original, solo que ahora en una bonita Full HD. En mi TV full HD de 50 se ven bien los juegos en general, pero en una TV 4K posiblemente no sea igual la experiencia (por ejemplo juegos de Nintendo Switch se ven muy bien en TV Full HD, pero en TV 4K la imagen se ve pixeleada o deslavada), por lo que recomiendo jugar en TV Full HD de preferencia y no en TV 4K.Los controles son de muy buena calidad, incluso mejores y un poco mas ergonómicos que los originales de SNES (que la ergonómica era su punto fuerte). Puedes conectarla también a una CRT TV lo cual es un punto a favor, si quieres jugar con la Super Scope, o corregir algún glitch de imagen en algún juego caprichoso.A la hora de colocar los cartuchos asegúrense que estén bien puestos y fijos a los pines, de lo contrario se trabara el juego. En definitiva recomiendo mucho esta consola clon, hay opciones mejores como la Super NT pero cuesta como 3x o 4x veces mas cara, y la SNES original aunque es la mejor opción, es cada vez mas difícil encontrar una en buen estado lo mismo que una TV CRT.Corre de todo, juegos NTSC americanos y de japoneses, PAL europeos, cartuchos multijuegos, reproducciones, y la SD2SNES, todos sin ningún problema. Comprala sin miedo si te gusta los juegos de SNES, te encantará si tuviste la consola original en los 90s.

Sono abbastanza soddisfatto. Praticamente tutti i giochi del Super Nintendo che possiedo vanno egregiamente. L’unico che non parte è il Super Game Boy, ma penso sia un problema della cartuccia, visto che vedendo le recensioni degli altri clienti funziona anche quella.Sono un po’ impaurito da alcune recensioni in cui viene detto che dopo 1-3 mesi il prodotto tende a non funzionare.Per ora, avendolo da circa una settimana va alla grande.Buoni i controller, la risposta ai comandi è immediata.Se sei un gamer nostalgico è un acquisto da prendere seriamente in considerazione.

This system works perfectly. I love how nice the colours look on my screen. I’m happy that I can also change the aspect ratio because I like the original one. The built quality is very good and I like the controllers. I’m so happy to get to play my favourite SNES games ever on my new tv. I also like that this system is much smaller than the original SNES. It even uses the original controller ports so I can use my original SNES controllers with it. I do like the new ones that come with this system though. The cables for the controllers are also a good length. Much longer than the new SNES classic ones. Thank you for making this system.
