This book is the UC answer I have been looking for! I read the entire book in one day and took 14 pages of notes! The chapters are short and there is no “fluff.” It is easy to read and understand. She even includes chapters on the importance of mindfulness, breathing and grounding, and explains how all of our body systems can impact our digestive system and gut biome.She shares personal stories, which humanizes the author, showing her depth of knowledge and experience.I cannot recommend this book enough…whether you have a family member with UC, have just been diagnosed yourself, or have been a UC warrior for years, I promise you will get something out of this book!

There is so much useful information in this book! It has advice and practical ways to solve gut health issues even without having UC. I particularly like the âprimary foodâ section which isnât about food at all but lifestyle tips. Iâve read books dedicated to fasting, meditation and gut health but this book is an all-round self care book Iâll dip into again and again. Would thoroughly recommend.
