Surprisingly effective on my slightly textured tile!
I rent, and my elderly grandma was coming to visit, so I bought these bars along with a tub clamp handle and non-slip mat to keep her safe getting in and out of my shower. I was nervous because some reviews and the product listing warned that they might not be effective on textured tile (like mine). To my surprise, the bars attached great and stayed put all weekend with no issues at all! I installed them a few days before she arrived so I could test them and make sure they stayed put. A few people mentioned theirs fell off their textured tile after a couple of hours, so I felt more confident after they didnât budge after a few days. They felt very secure, and I tested my weight on them before grandma arrived. And, as a renter, I was very pleased with how easy install and removal was. The suction cups are sticky, but left no residue. I first released the suction lever, then used the tab on the edge of the pad to pull it out and away from the wall, it took a few seconds but eventually it peeled right off. Iâm sure on a more textured surface theyâre not as reliable, but I wanted to leave a review for anyone with questionable tile like mine.

Monster Suction
Even before flipping the locking mechanism, the suction cups were already sticking to the shower wall.Then, when I wanted to adjust the position, the handle was stuck so tightly, I had trouble removing it from the wall. This is what I learned:There is a little tab on the side of each suction cup. Give it an easy yank, and the suction cup will easily release from the wall. Surprisingly easy, considering how tough the suction is before pulling on the tab.My problem is that, at first, I put the handle on the wall, horizontally, with the tabs pointing down, so when I went to reposition the handle, I didn’t see the tabs.But as I repositioned the handle, I made sure to flip the handle 180° so the tabs on the suction cups are facing Up, in case I need them next time.So, when you’re initial sticking the handle to the wall, make sure the little tabs on the suction cups are facing you for easiest access.

Good for steadiness but wonât support full weight
I bought these after my husband had major surgery. They are easy to install and remove without marking the wall. They will not adhere correctly over a crack or grout line and the suction cups are very large. He could use them to steady himself getting in and out of the tub but they would never support his full weight like grab bars.

A superb, very strong yet removable safety rail.
This product is exceptionally well designed and made with high quality.Very unusual but exceptionally strong method of attachment.Unlike the old style safety rails, this one is removable and does not require boring holes to mount it.I was skeptical of its claim that it would withstand 200+ lbs of pull but once I had it in place, I could see how it is be possible.The discs which attach to the wall appeared to be the usual rubber suction type but I was surprised to find that they are made of a different type of plastic. When installed properly, which is simple, they grip extremely tightly- very strong. In fact I had trouble getting one off to move it.The price makes this a bargain especially since it does not disfigure the wall to mount. I mounted mine on tile- THE DISCS CANNOT CROSS GROUT BUT MUST BE ATTACHED TO SMOOTH TILE. LITTLE TILES WOULD MAKE IT INEFFECTIVE. My tiles are 6×6 but it would attach to 4×4 tiles.Since most houses turn over ownership having a removable yet strong safety bar is a big plus.Now this is a new product so there is no history on its longevity but it certainly looks like it will last for years.One last comment: I do not represent any commercial organization or person; I am neither paid nor have I received any inducement( like free product) to write this review. If the product was junk I would have said so. It is not.

I installed these in my elderly motherâs shower and am very pleased with the ease of installation and solid construction. They seem very stable and the suction cups lock onto the tiled walls securely. Good product!

Wall attachment seems strong!
Revised review- recently found one grab loose – donât know if my installation was not right, or the unit failed. Just want to suggest users test their grabs periodically, to avoid falls & possible injuries.Original review: I was doubtful about a suction style wall connection (vs a thru-wall mechanical installation). These proved to be very strong & reliable on our flat tiled shower wall. I put my full weight on each one, before trusting them for my wife. Easy & fast to put in, remove, or relocate. Handle is a comfy grip. Nice to have two, for strategic placement from shower chair or standing. Well packaged, timely delivered, and nicely priced.

Los coloque y su adherencia es bastante buena, lo tuve que cambiar de lugar y una de las gomas perdió el pegamento que traen y ya no se pudo adherir con firmeza. Es decir su adherencia no es 100% succión, requieren adhesivo que se pierde en el primer cambio. DeberÃa vender también las gomas con adhesivo para cuando se requiera cambiarlos de lugar.

Really poor quality, doesn’t stick to the tiles.I prepared the tiles by washing and cleaning and drying them to make sure they’re clean. After mounting the bars they were strongly attached to the tiles, I simply could not pull them off the wall.Fast forward 30 minutes, I heard a noise in the bathroom: one of them simply fell off the wall. I tried the second one to see if is still properly attached to the wall and it came off with very little to almost no effort – likely would have fallen off the wall in the next 5 to 10 minutes.I repeated the entire process: cleaning the wall tiles (glazed smooth tiles, so high quality surface), drying, etc. Attached the shower bars again, same experience: very strong bond right after being attached, falling off on their own half an hour later.Do not buy!
