Same Sky’s Audio Group has introduced two new surface-mount miniature speakers to its product lineup: the CMS-131304-SMT-TR and CMS-151504-SMT-TR. These compact models are designed to meet the demands of portable electronics and space-limited applications, housed in 13 x 13 x 4 mm and 15 x 15 x 4 mm square frames, respectively. Both speakers are compatible with reflow soldering, making them suitable for automated assembly processes.

The CMS-131304-SMT-TR delivers a sound pressure level of 87 dB at 10 cm with a 0.7 W input, resonating at a frequency of 900 Hz. This model supports a maximum input of 1 W, has an impedance of 8 ohms, and can operate in extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C. 

The CMS-151504-SMT-TR offers a slightly higher sound pressure level of 88 dB at 10 cm with a 0.5 W input. It resonates at 850 Hz, handles a maximum input of 0.8 W, and shares the same 8-ohm impedance. Its operating temperature range is more moderate, from -20°C to 70°C.

Both models feature high-performance polyurethane cones and samarium cobalt magnets, ensuring robust sound quality despite their compact form factors. These speakers are ideal for use in portable consumer electronics and designs where space is premium. Pricing for these speakers starts at $1.93 per unit for orders of 100 pieces or more through authorised distributors. OEM pricing is also available upon request.
