An eternity of entertainment
Only gripe I have about this product is that I cannot get it to boot directly. I have a workaround for this though. In windows, just search for ‘Change advanced startup options’ and then hit ‘restart now’ under Advanced Setup and then click UEFI USB on the screen after that and you’re all set

Great base to customize
I know people run these products down, and I understand that. You can totally build a system like this yourself, but I figure the price is worth the time it saved in setting it up. It’s easy to upgrade Batocera and add your own customizations, if you know what you’re doing with Batocera, and there’s plenty of online resources to learn. Worth it for me!

I like it, but…
Everything is great except you won’t be able to run any of the “higher-end” consoles from this through the USB interface. They’re using a cheap 375 MB/s HDD…too slow for Dreamcast, Gamecube, or newer consoles. Otherwise, it’s a very well-put-together package. The Batocera interface is slick and most console/arcade/etc configurations work. My workaround for the slow drive was to install Launchbox on my PC and copy the ROMs over, which means some configuration work for you if you go that route.I still like it despite the aforementioned limitations. And for the price, I can’t be mad about the low-end HDD.

Setup not easy….
I know for a fact this is going to be a lot of fun to play based upon the tutorials I’ve seen. However, out of all the setup tutorials, none of them seem to help with booting it on my computer. I’ve gone in and changed the settings just like it said and I’ve also done the way that the instruction say. Still can’t seem to boot it up on my Alienware PC. I will change my review and rating as soon as I can get some better help. Update… Finally got it to boot bath. Extremely difficult to back out of games and I know there’s cheats but there’s no easy way to access them. Played a few games and it was fun. There just needs to be better instructions

Buyer Beware… not because they are lying but, because this unit is “delicate”…
I really hate to be negative but, this particular KINHANK portable is not really “portable”. Just bought one and now it is unplayable because it is actually a spinning hard disk and I dropped mine a foot from the floor… it is unplayable now.Be aware that this is delicate and do not plug it in on top of your tower, lest your cat makes it fall.It was pretty fun for the couple of times I played it.Side note, It is Batocera 33… DO NOT UPDATE IT!!! I don’t know first hand but, I have read on multiple sites that it would render some games unplayable if you update Batocera…Buyer beware but, honestly, you aren’t out much.My suggestion is to go on YouTube and learn how to build your own emulation thumb drive. My 2 cents… you do you.

No BGM
Using emulators to play classic video games is the most convenient and accessible option. The process is simple and straightforward, allowing you to start playing right away without any hassle. However, a downside is that many emulators lack the background music or BGM that was such a vital part of the gaming experience back in the day. This can make it difficult to fully immerse yourself in the nostalgia of those games. In the past, you might have played your own music while gaming, which added to the overall experience. Nowadays, without the old tunes, something feels like it’s missing.
