Great gloves!
Great gloves, really love them! Mechanix are a popular glove in the tactical and shooting communities. I have heard people talk crap about them sometimes but those people are probably gear elitists who think if it’s not uber expensive then it must suck. These gloves are affordable, relatively tough and are pretty comfortable. I use the medium sized gloves since I’m a smaller dude (150 pounds; 5’10”) and they fit great. There is some play in the finger tips but very little. You’ll never find gloves that fit perfectly though, just like you will never find boots that fit perfectly. We all have unique dimensions so just get the glove that fits you the closest. In terms of quality, they do have great features and materials. The are somewhat synthetic so that’s great for when they get wet and need to dry out by the fire. They seem tough too but like all other apparel that gets used heavily, they will wear out. That’s just the nature of using something though. Eventually it will wear out. If you get 6 months of REALLY hard use out of them, that would be a great value. If you use them for a couple years with just moderate strain on them, that again would be a great value since the black gloves are only 18 USD.Be warned though, these are NOT winter gloves and your hands will get cold in the winter time. I recommend these gloves covered in a very thin fleece winter glove to protect you from the cold. Or you can just get a quality pair of winter gloves then just use these for indoor tasks or during warmer seasons. I usually shoot with these gloves so they are great for that. Protecting your hands is crucial and folks often underestimate how important their hands are until they loose a finger or slice their finger to the bone. These gloves will protect you as well. If you get the M-Pact version they protect even better. I love the style of these gloves as well. They come in camo, black, red, blue, yellow, coyote tan, you name it. A very quality product and highly recommended to anyone who needs to protect their hands but doesn’t want to spend a fortune.

Decent gloves; but order a size down and check the seller
I got interested in these gloves after seeing the polarizing reviews. Everything from âamazingâ to âfell apart after a single useâ with pictures to back up the claim. First thing, check youâre buying them from Amazon or Mechanix. Look under the âBuy Nowâ button for who itâs sold by. It seems there are a lot of counterfeits, and Iâll bet people getting burned accidentally bought from a third party.I did a few durability tests. First, I did maintenance on my lawnmower. Changing the spark plug and air filter, an oil change, and sharpening the blades. Thereâs this nasty bit of metal above the spark plug thatâs gotten my finger before. I purposely didnât avoid it with the gloves and canât see any damage to the synthetic leather on the top. Then I mowed and moved some pavers around for a yard project. After yard work I tested them for the real purpose I bought them for, as a pair of shooting gloves. I loaded and unloaded a few of my Wilson Combat 10 round 1911 magazines. The spring in them is stiff, so I figured theyâd make a decent test. This was the biggest problem; the sizing chart is just plain wrong. All my other gloves are large, Iâve worn large my entire adult life. But I saw complaints about it, so I broke out a measuring tape and the chart told me to get large, which didnât surprise me. But then they came, and these gloves are big on me; not to a point theyâre unusable but especially for shooting gloves where a close fit matters, theyâre a tough sell. Iâll echo what others have said, buy a size down from what the chart tells you if you want to use these at the range. The baggy fit made the fingertips get stuck trying to load my magazines repeatedly. The excess material would also catch while trying to manipulate slide locks, safeties, and *especially* hammers. Again, I think this comes down to the sizing chart being incorrect, and none of this would happen if it gave the correct size.A few other things I noticed; they donât breathe well. The synthetic leather doesnât have ventilation, and the material on top feels padded. My hands felt clammy inside after prolonged use. This isnât something Iâve experienced to the same degree with other similar gloves. On a positive note, these work impressively well with touch screens. Even the pinky fingers with excessive material at the tip are flawless.Overall, a decent set of gloves. For what I did with them thereâs only a little pilling on the synthetic leather. No question theyâre good utility gloves. As shooting gloves, Iâm less sure. If you can spare an extra $5 or $10, a pair of Helikonâs or 5.11âs will serve you better. But if you have a tight budget, go a size down and these should serve you well.

The durable, high-quality material provides outstanding protection against impacts and abrasions while remaining breathable and comfortable for extended wear. Very comfortable, would definitely recommend the smallest size if you have small or average size womenâs hands.

Son de muy buena calidad, hice trabajo pesado de cortes y uso de taladro y como si nada. Son muy suaves y cómodos, además de ligeros, los use para manejar y resultaron muy útiles. Excelente calidad.

Iâd say these gloves are good. Although the size I ordered was too big for me, Iâve been using them mostly for airsoft but also for gardening, and there hasnât been any damage to them.
