Need 2 pkg, to totally absorb.
I gave it 4 stars, only because u need 2 pkg. to completely gel.. we r use to using loose powder and only needing 1 scoop, but the 2 pkg works great for a 10 yr old. Completely eliminates odor, and gels up all liquid.

I like that this turns into a safe biodegradable gel, especially if I use with an emergency urinal. Better for the environment & more sanitary.I use in my camping John. I sometimes use with Pine Bedding pellets. It works either way. I even showed my newbee camping neighbor, after heavy use due to torrential downpours keeping me in my tent, how it gets up and had Zero odor after 2 days of use. Even with some #2. He was amazed.

Used then while camping. Had a 5 gallon bucket toilet. Was used for the emergency poo situation for my father in law… used two packs. Camped for 3 days. Didn’t put any liquid into the bag at first so it did smell… then he peed in it and wallah, smell gone and everything gelled up. Don’t do what I did though. Put a little bit of water in your toilet first to activate it. Maybe it says it on the directions…. probably does. Obviously i didn’t read them. Lesson learned, but will definitely buy again.

Need a pack each time
I bought this for the camping potty. Works well to minimize odor as long as you use a fresh pack every time you go. Packs were kind of hard to open.

Great to have for camping
We’ve tried a couple of other brands of gels that just don’t gel. This stuff works! You might have to use a couple of packets, but we have an emergency potty for camping and this is the only brand I plan on buying in the future!
