Sturdy, attractive side table with dog kennel
Easy to assemble, sturdy, cute door. We live in a small house with a very small bedroom. I needed a dog kennel to fit between the bed and the wall AND give me a table top for a lampâ¦. This fit perfectly, and I love the table top. Absolutely NO complaints; my 22 pound Havanese loves it and so do I. The only negative things I can think of is that since there is not a plastic pan bottom like the wire kennels have, it would not be ideal for dogs that are not house broken yet. The second thing is that it would not be sturdy enough for strong larger dogs who are determined to escape. My dog is a sweetie and would never think of trying to tear it apart to get out so it is perfect for us!

GREAT FOR ALREADY TRAINED DOGS
They are not too heavy, super easy to go together. The fasteners are plastic unfortunately, it definitely isn’t as durable as a wire metal cage, but they’re way better looking. I took the russet colored ones and added a faux wood vinyl finish to match my decor better. It definitely will stand up to normal use, but not to destructive use from a puppy or high anxiety dog. My dogs were trained in wire crates first and these are our upgrades. I would say they’re pretty sturdy if you’re talking about putting weight on them, but not chew proof. I cannot stress this enough, it won’t hold up to destructive dogs. They’re entirely plastic so no worries about water damage from sweating glasses, heat might still be a problem.

Not durable enough for a 75lb puppy
I bought this because my 14 month old Great Pyranese mix puppy is working on being kennel trained and our old kennel had bars just wide enough for him to stick his nose through and scrape it up. I wanted a safer kennel for him, that was big enough for him to move around, but with bars not big enough for him to hurt himself on. This kennel would have been perfect. I saw that this was made of a plastic/wood polymer and because I have a composite fence (wood/plastic), I assumed this would be a similar material. I was wrong. This kennel is plastic and not just plastic, but HOLLOW plastic. I don’t know what amount of wood they think they are including, but this is terrible. My old kennel is made of wood and was around the same price, so I am extremely disappointed in the quality of this kennel. If this actually had sturdy materials used in it, it would be great, but it’s made of hollow plastic that a 14 month old, 75lb puppy was able easily snap in several pieces within minutes. Pictures are attached. If you need to work on kennel training your rowdy, big breed puppy, look elsewhere. I assume because this is broken that I can’t get my money back, so I’ve wasted $200+ on something that didn’t even last a single use. He broke it in less than 15 minutes. Cheap junk that isn’t worth the price. Save your money. Don’t make the same mistake that I did

Great Dog Kennels and Works as Side Tables! We bought two!
We LOVE these kennels! We have two Pomskies (17 and 26 lbs.) who are known escape artists and heavy duty chewers, but they have never escaped (nor chewed) these kennels and we’ve been using them for about a year now.Another big plus is that no one even notices these kennels because they fit perfectly with our decor next to our couch and recliner and act as great side tables! Once someone does finally notice that they are kennels, the comments are always positive, such as: “That’s brilliant!” or “I have to get one of those for my dog!”When we are at home, we leave the doors open (they can swing both outwards or inwards) and the dogs will often voluntarily go in their little “dens” to chew their bones, play with a toy, or take a nap! They feel safe and secure inside. We learned that you can NEVER leave a Pomsky unattended in your home for even a short time! So, when we have to leave them “home alone,” they willingly go inside their kennels until we return. The longest we have ever left them in their kennels was probably 6 to 7 hours, but we know that when we come home, they are both safe and sound in their kennels and our house still looks the same as when we left it!The only reason I gave it 3 stars for the “traveling” option is because, depending on what size kennel you purchase, these can be quite bulky and may need to be disassembled for traveling if you have a small trunk or backseat. But, if you have a truck or larger SUV, I could see one (or two) of these going in the back without the need to disassemble them.I cannot speak highly enough about these kennels . . . they’re tough enough for our two Pomskies, they serve as a “safe haven” for our dogs, look good in our living room, and serve as great side tables, too! These are so much better than the metal crates we used to use. I’m so grateful for these because they give us the peace of mind we need knowing that our two dogs are safe (and so is the rest of our home) when we’re gone!

Great dog crate
The hardware is pretty cheap, just plastic screws that back out easily if you have a rough pet. Very easy to assemble and looks fairly nice.Would give 5 stars if it had better hardware.

very flimsy clasp
This is a nice looking crate that fits well in our family room, but the closing hasp is lousy and can easily be opened by a dog, cat or child. It really needs a hasp that clips completely around the post.

This crate if gorgeous! Fits so well in the living room. Super easy to assemble and seems very sturdy. I’m giving 5 stars despite several flaws.The biggest problem is the latch. It just flips open and I was worried my puppy clawing at the crate would soon figure out how to open it. This would be a serious flaw but I added my own sliding latch to the top of the door and now I am not worried! (See pictures)Another flaw is the door only opens one way. I was hoping I’d be able to take it apart and flip the door, but the construction (that makes it super easy to assemble) is glued together so unfortunately I wasn’t able to have the door open the direction I’d like. A minor flaw.Finally, as others have said, it came a little scratched. It’s a little annoying to get a brand new product that doesn’t look perfect but I honestly can’t see the scratches any more, and it’s meant for long term dog housing so this was not an issue at all.
