Heavy duty solid set. The chefâs knife cut through a partially frozen chicken breast like room temperature butter and the santoku style knife went through a spaghetti squash with no issue. So far, very happy with the look, craftsmanship, and use of these knives.

We bought theses knives as a gift for our son-in-law. They looked beautiful and are very sharp.

A bit disappointed
The good:- Nice weight and decent balance- wooden handle is smooth and comfortableThe bad- you can tell by the picture that the knife is laser etched and not damascus- thereâs no way of knowing what kind of steel this is as itâs not marked anywhere- Inconsistent descriptions everywhere. I canât tell if this has a lifetime or 12 month warranty. Iâm not sure if itâs AUS10, AUS8, 440C, steel or VG10.Details why i donât believe this is damascusYou can clearly see the deep grooves from laser etching removing too much materials. The worst part is that real making damascus steel doesnât really cost that much more. Itâs just folded steel and machines can do that easily.In my opinion, knives like these are not worth $130 for a set of 3. I am fine with faux damascus as long as the seller discloses it is just laser etched patterns. But this isnât the case.
