Looks nice and reasonably comfortble
Got these for a formal event. The shoes look good with simple no fuss look. The sole looks quite sturdy. I would say this is very good for wearing for several hours, and walking and the rubber sole grips the ground well. The upper is leather and looks good.It was slightly stiff at the ankle for about an hour or two when I first wore it. Very comfortable wearing it the second and third time. It adds about 1″ of height.

Good shoes for the money
These shoes look good, are well made and fit well. This is my third pair and the only drawback is with the insole. Both of my older pairs started collapsing in the heel. Apparently, the cushion material inside the heel that makes these comfortable to stand and walk in eventually compresses and the insole sinks into the heel (took about a year for me). To be fair, I’m not a skinny or light weight person, but I haven’t experienced this sort of thing with a higher end shoe. That’s the main reason they aren’t five star. The only other remark I’ll make is that these are not made for hard core walking on rough city streets and sidewalks. They are made for office use. The first pair I bought got a lot of street time and the upper started separating from the sole after about six months. The second pair have just been used at work and I change into tennis shoes for the walk home. For working in the office, walking around the building and back and forth to lunch they are comfortable and have held up well. I can’t fault Dockers for my abuse of the first pair.Considering the price, these are a great value and good shoes. Worth the money.

I don’t agree with other reviewers… these look good but need insoles
These shoes are good quality. But, have some issues.First, they are very heavy thick leather. This means the quality is good. But, they are definitely heavy shoes. I am planning to wear them to a wedding as a guest.Second, the shoelaces are not Dress Shoe Laces. You will need to replace the laces on these shoes if you are planning to wear them to a formal occasion. The black shoelaces that come with them are like sneaker laces. You will need to buy 36″ waxed dress shoelaces to replace the sneaker laces. Finally, these shoe soles are very hard and not comfortable. I recommend buying gel insoles for them immediately. The shoes have a cardboard-like insole already so you can take them out and use it to draw the cut lines on the new gel insoles (see picture). Also, by removing the cardboard insoles you will have more room for the new gel insoles.

Very nice
Bought these for my husband. He said they were tight at first but adjusted to his feet very quickly. They look great and the fit was perfect.

Great Shoes!
I have been looking for a real leather shoe for a reasonable price and these Dockers are that. They are very comfortable out of the box.

Just Great
I have been wearing these same shoes for several years now. They are constructed very well, are affordable, look good and importantly for me have rubber soles. It is difficult to find rubber soles these days but the added traction makes me feel much more secure. I like them so much I went ahead and ordered 3 pair. The only complaint I have is the awful cotton shoelaces that come with them. They are way too long and quickly wear out. Do yourself a favor and order some black Kiwi 27″ laces, the thin kind will work perfect.——-Update 6 – 2017I wear these shoes 5 days a week to an office. They seem to last about 1 1/2 years. Each time they wear out has been in the rubber soles near the ball of my foot. Not that I’m complaining, I think 1 1/2 years is great for shoes. Very comfortable, not hot. I really like a thicker shoelace like OrthoStep Round Athletic Shoelaces (approx. 1/8 inch wide laces) which you can find here on Amazon. They work great with Ukrainian Lacing (check Instructables.com) and Ian’s Secure Shoelace Knot (from Ian’s Shoelace Site), almost life-changing. See the pictures for how I tie the laces. see less

Greater upper, lesser lower. Consider DIY ShoeGoo mod w/Neolite heels. (Not built to last.)
1. Very good-quality on the surface of the leather upper .2. Accepts polish well. Cleans up easily.3. Good traction.4. Very good price (?)5. Very cheap shoe laces. (~3 month life?!. . . vs 3 years)6. Very Cheapish sole quality. Thin and not durable. Almost all of my walking is on carpet and they still wear quickly. However, they more durable than marshmallows and thicker than paper. After not much walking, the heel will wear out and reveal that the heel is hollow!7. Semi-cheapish bonding of sole to sides.8. Cheap support inside shoe at heel. After some months, heel of foot falls thru shoe and into the hollow heel!!! This caused some foot pain until I go around to engineering a “bridge” to support the heel of my foot to keep it out of the “cavern”.If these shoes had Goodyear Neolite soles and durable laces, WOW!, and if the sides of the shoes would not separate from the sole… it would be a SUPER value. Neolite soles are “the cat’s meow”! I am considering doing a ShoeGoo modification. It is almost as if Dockers licensed someone else to produce these! Tough to find these in a larger W I D EEE size.Although they are of low quality, I buy them because they fit my heel and toes well. I’ve been buying these for a couple decades (or more??). Decades ago the quality was better. I think they are just using up the goodwill of the old name when they sell shoes like these. Will I buy again? Yes, they are $ cheap. I updated the number of stars from 4 to 3 as I got ready to buy another pair.
