    Water repellant spray
This stuff worked rather well, I washed my coat and let it dry for several days then sprayed it with this product and next rain it worked very well to keep me dry. I recommend it and will use it on othe coats. There was no smell after it dryed

Yep, it works an worth every penny
Okay, at first I thought this product was too good to be true. I read the reviews, watched the video and still had a hard time believing it would work.Let’s back up. I have a ten plus year old bright yellow LL Bean trail model rain jacket. Old school, simple but really made well. It has one or two cosmetic stains on it, but otherwise no rips or tears. Problem is the water proofing gave out some time ago – like years ago. I probably didn’t take care of it right, but I really dug this jacket. I finally got sick of rain soaking through the hood – there needed to be change. My wife wanted to just buy a new one, but it’s expensive ($80). I wanted to try new water proofing, compromising that if it didn’t work she could buy me a new one.The spray bottle came in the mail and sat on a shelf for a couple of weeks. I procrastinated because I thought it would smell toxic and make a huge mess. Finally some rain was predicted so I needed to either embrace a wet head or get to work. I donned some gloves and took the jacket outside. I feared for the worst. It could not have been easier. Application was really as simple as spraying on, didn’t smell bad and made no mess (in my house or in the drier). The gloves were overkill and while I wouldn’t eat this stuff, next time I won’t bother.I just tried it out in the pouring rain and I really am amazed. Water that previously soaked in, now beads up. I missed a couple of places so I will do another application. I should have done this years ago.Even if this stuff just holds for a half a season, it’s worth every penny. The bottle says up to 4 treatments, but for me I think that is on the low end.Another review said it didn’t hold up with regular use. I only wear this jacket in the rain, so it doesn’t get much use. It just needs to work when I need it.

    Not tested yet
The spray is a little too focused to be able to get the complete garment completely soaked, but I was able to do 3 jackets. Haven’t had any of them out in the weather to test.

Have no doubts, this stuff does its job
I bought this because I don’t have the money to buy a new, good-quality winter jacket. Mine isn’t bad, but it had lost all water repellent ability. I mean I went out in lightly-falling flake snow for an hour and a half and came back soaked to my shirt.Following the instructions on the bottle (and everywhere online), I first used Gear Aid ReviveX Synthetic Fabric Cleaner. Don’t ever use regular detergent on modern ski jackets or the like – they’re constructed of so-called technical fabrics, or tech fabric. Regular detergents eat this stuff and completely degrade the jacket and its insulation/waterproof performance. After it was clean (but still wet!), I simply sprayed it down in a well-ventilated area, and then stuck it in the drier on low for half an hour. When it came out, it was crisp. Being human, I couldn’t wait to see what this stuff did.I had previously tested my jacket before washing it by pouring water on it. The water had just soaked immediately in. After use, it completely beaded off, and the remaining beaded water I wiped off with my hand. The jacket remained completely unwetted. I went on to use this on my wife’s jacket, both of our gloves, and I keep it around in case anything else needs waterproofing.Let me be 100% clear: I had my doubts about this product, and just like everyone on here says, it completely, absolutely works. So if you’re hesitating because you’re not sure, stop hesitating. This stuff saved me from buying a new $200 jacket and made my wife’s $30 special completely waterproof. We had a 3-hour snowball fight in wet snow and came in dry as bones.

Left spots, and didn’t spray evenly
Time will tell if the waterproofing is effective, however I can report it left dark spots on the rain fly of our tent when it dried and I was not pleased with final appearance.

I thought repellent was supposed to REPEL water?!
After washing (and air drying) my riding gear, I applied this DWR as suggested. The next time it rained, the water soaked right in – it didn’t hardly even bead.I applied a 2nd coat as suggested. The next time I rode through puddles, the water hit the jacket and soaked right in.I then slathered it on, consuming much of the rest of the bottle… Water beaded a little bit – but still soaked in quickly. Then rewashed the jacket and applied some standard inexpensive silicone waterproofing spray. That shed the majority of the water. So, I’m not sure what this is intended for, but it doesn’t do well on a nylon jacket that USED to be waterproof, but had worn off over two years’ use.

    Easy to Apply Waterproofing Spray
Very easy to apply and dries quickly. Not sure of it’s durability yet but it seems to stand up well. I still gave it five stars even though I need to see how well it does over time. So far so good. Did a good job rejuvenating my Gortex rain jacket.

I brought it on my fishing wader and it’s amazing. No seepage from the seam of the pants anymore.

I went on line for reviews to clean/water proof a black suede jacket that had become stained and shabby. This was rated No1 on the site I found. First I brushed the worst marks off and then applied this stuff. I applied more than recommended so the jacket was quite wet. The net results are that all the stains have gone. I’ve also used it on some suede and some nubuck shoes with similar positive results. Have bought again.
