What you need to know: Unlike a legacy mandoline, the width of the slices is not adjustable. You are provided with 5mm and 2mm blades. Both are very sharp. The 2mm did a great job with shallots (which I pickled). I tested some of the other attachments with a potato.-The wavy blade is just the right width for ruffled potatoes. It produces a thick chip.-The julienne slicer creates perfect matchsticks.-The coarse grater would work well for potato pancakes and hard cheeses.-The fine grater (zester) clogged-up when I tried to grate ginger. IMO, it is too fine for a zester.This thing takes up much drawer space. All of it is top-rack dishwasher safe, BUT, at least with my dishwasher, there is no way to add the blades without them falling through to the bottom of the machine. The blades are effortless to handwash. I have no clue (yet) how to use the spiralizer and ribbon blades. I could have done without the egg slicer and the juicer.

Impressive, high-quality design!
After watching mandolines used on Chopped all the time, I decided to get one for myself. I researched many online, and selected this product from Fullstar as providing the best value and having the most favorable ratings. As it turns out, these high reviews are well deserved.First, from a product design standpoint, their industrial/product designer is very talented. Every piece is well-crafted, using high-quality plastic. It’s washable in a dishwasher (that was the first thing I did). And it’s intuitively easy to use. Just as importantly, they considered how this would be stored, and to keep all of the components together, since there are a wide variety of cutting blades to account for every application. They were very clever in how they packaged the blades, and everything stores into a very convenient caddy that keeps them all together so they don’t get lost in your kitchen drawers.They also considered how to keep the user safe because, if you watch the cooking shows, half the chefs invariably wind up slicing themselves on mandolines during the course of their cooking. This one has a well-designed handgrip that keeps your hands away from the blades while firmly securing whatever it is you’re slicing. They also thoughtfully include a protective glove, which gives you an additional – and very welcome – measure of safety.I highly recommend this product as a great addition to the kitchen for any home chef!

It looks easier to use than it is
I was looking for a slicer for potatoes and I saw this product. I received it two days ago and I used it today for the first time. The bowl is a nice size and will hold the sliced vegetables, but I am not sure about the slicer itself. I was very careful, and I put the glove on my right hand to hold the slicer handle. My one complaint is that the handle has spikes that are supposed to go into the vegetable to hold it securely while slicing the vegetable. The spikes are not long enough and slip out of the vegetable, making it harder than it should be. It is a good product, but you have to be very careful not to cut yourself on the blade while using it. If the spikes were longer, I think it would be a safer product.

We have mostly used this for making home fries from potatoes but we have tried it with a couple other foods. It works great. Def need to use the glove and the handle included. I forgot to use the handle the first time & the glove did get a tear from the blade, VERY SHARP! But if you use both items you will be safe. My only “con” is the white lid that the blade attaches too, doesn’t stay on the collecting tray well. Would be great if it could be used as a cover when not using the blades. But this is a very minor thing. Highly recommend.

This shredder,cutter and everything else you can think of is great.My only downside is storage as in where to put it, it takes up some room, but as Mrs tells me we can get rid of a few knives. It does what it says and even gives you a glove so the only things you cut is what you want to.
