Neither have I located any GPS trackers. I do register sources of electro signatures but I am learning how this tool functions and will get back to update this review after some exposure. The signals become active and it is just a matter of determining what they mean.I may need to purchase some of these spy devices to learn how to use this tool. Rated 5 stars as it is active but I do not understand what it is detecting. This is after only a few minutes of playing with it.

It actually kind of works.
The good news is I don’t seem to have any hidden cameras in my house. This does seem to work for the most part. The azimuth dial is bogus, it’s just a sticker that really represents nothing. It really doesn’t detect IR or GPS signals; it does detect magnetic fields tough. And it definitely can find things that are transmitting. To find hidden cameras you need to turn on the red lights, and look through the lense, you’ll see a reflection hopefully if there is a camera. The system itself does not detect it. It is still kind of cool, and super spy type stuff. Is it handy to have if you are staying in a hotel, Air BNB, etc., I would say yes. It cannot hurt to run a quick scan of your area and see if anything out of the ordinary is transmitting something. As mentioned, the manual is not very good if you speak any English whatsoever. It wasn’t that hard to figure out, and with the amount of YT videos on the topic, you’ll be fine.
Anomalous Phenomenon –
It works, yes…
This small, handheld unit does function well and it may even be a good value for someone with the skills to use it properly. For the average person, however, there is much to be desired. The instruction manual is nearly incomprehensible. While it does provide some useful information, you’ll probably be better off searching youtube videos or performing internet searches for proper use of this device. I did successfully identify RF sources like common household electronics (TVs, Laptops, Routers, etc.) but results were mixed at best. I was also able to detect my security camera while it was unplugged which was encouraging. At this price point it’s a solid 3 stars for form and function. It’s very portable and could provide some peace of mind for vacationers staying at a questionable rental property. But I cannot say this device provides full confidence without an improved manual for proper use.

gimmicky but not totally useless
This is one of those products that every nerd has always wanted. I had such high hopes for it, but it was mostly a disappointment. The “GPS detector” isn’t really a GPS detector, it’s a magnet detector, so if they mounted the GPS tracker in any way other than with a magnet, this device won’t pick it up. It also has to be just about touching the magnet to trigger, so unless they used a comically large magnet to mount the GPS tracker you’ll have better luck using your eyes to locate it.The RF detector does work – it picks up on RF – so if you are just trying to find any device that emits RF then it’ll do that, but the problem is it can’t give you an information about what the device is. There is RF constantly being emitted all around us in any modern home. This device does have a sensitivity dial. You want to ideally turn it up until it goes off constantly and then dial it back a bit so it’s not picking up all the random background RF noise. Then you can “sweep” the room and try to identify anything with RF…but you have to get fairly close to the source to be able to find it. This is probably more useful in a situation where you find a device that looks a little suspect and you want to know if it’s emitting any RF signals. Like maybe you see a stuffed animal in the AirBnB and want to check to see if it’s a nanny-cam. Well it might be a nanny cam but only record locally and not emit any RF, but if it is wifi connected and actively transmitting then you could use this device to see that. It would be nice if this device could tell you the RF frequency range that it’s picking up, at least then you could make some educated guess about what type of device is emitting that RF and whether it might be a threat to you.The camera IR/red light detector part is the only actually useful bit. With it you can see camera lenses that would have otherwise been difficult or impossible to see. Think like pinhole camera style…but you’ll have to practice with it and go really slowly and methodically and the darker the room the better it works. Again this might be more useful if you’ve found something that looks like a pinhole camera and you want to be sure that’s what it is.So it’s not totally useless. You can get some minimal piece of mind from it, provided you are tech literate and take some time to research and understand the limitations and then practice with it on known cameras and RF sources.
