I liked it much more than I thought I would
I read a good number of reviews for cleansing shampoos, most of which were mediocre. This shampoo got good ratings but I was a little put off by the price. Fortunately this company has the insight to offer smaller travel sizes which are perfect for product testing.I really do like this shampoo A LOT. I use it about once a week and my hair feels really clean afterward. I usually have to shampoo twice if my hair is very dirty in order to get it clean, but one pass with Ouai gets my hair super clean. The smell is different but not off-putting. I will definitely be buying this in the regular size.

Did nothing for my hair
Marketed for fine to medium hair. Did nothing for my hair. Left it feeling oily and smelly like grandmas perfume. The leave in conditioner was like chalk. Reminded me of dry shampoo. Whats the purpose of this product exactly? I’ll never know.

Not impressed
I’m glad I bought the travel size to try this product first one was not. I have spent too much on hair care products that do not work. I’m afraid I have to disagree with all the glowing reviews, but granted, everyone’s hair is different. I have baby fine hair that breaks easily and am searching for the right hair care routine. The shampoo dried out my hair and the leave in conditioner left my hair sticky and difficult to style. The mask did seem to repair but left my hair too soft and no body.

Leave in conditioner is not very good at multi-tasking.
The 4 pc set comes shrink-wrapped together. Small sizes make them very portable.Scalp and Body Scrub: This has a very nice smell. The grains are large, and do not dissolve as rapidly as other body scrubs that I have used. It is great for the smelly parts of the body, and those areas feel clean and refreshed when I use it, especially my feet. I will not be using it on my scalp, because I feel that would be too much work to maneuverer around my hair. I asked my husband if he wanted to try it on his short thinning hair, and he declined.Detox Shampoo: Don’t use it more than 2x per week. Uses apple cider vinegar to remove other hair products. Does not smell like vinegar, the smell is nice. I have no problems spreading it through my hair, and massaging it into my scalp. My hair feels clean, and doesn’t not require a second wash.Fine to Medium Hair Masque: I leave it in my hair the full 10 minutes. I like the smell. I do dip my finger in to the jar multiple times to get “just a little bit more” so I’m not sure if I am using more, less, or the same amount as a regular conditioner. Judging the correct amount is difficult. I am able to finger comb through my hair, but it does require some effort. I do feel that this helps to effectively spread it all over every strand of hair. Hair feels soft after rinsing and towel drying. It does not feel dried out.Leave in Conditioner/Heat Protectant Spray: This smells different from the other items in the set, and I do not like it as much. At least the smell dissipates quickly. I love that the bottle has an extremely fine mist spray, and does not cover a large area (thus missing my head and ending up on the floor, like other products do). My hair is extremely easy to comb through when using this in conjunction with the shampoo and conditioner. (I have not tried it without those). I then used the blow dryer and it worked like other heat protection sprays that I have used. Very little frizz, no static, and no flyways. Hair is not as soft as it is with other products. I still used a straightening iron to finish smoothing my hair, and curl the ends of my hair. I used hair sprayed on my freshly styled hair.Some heat protection/multi-purpose hair products, provide some hold to the hair style, this one does not. I was surprised that a few hours later, the curls at the end of my hair had all fallen out and the beautifully straight hair now had waves in it. (I had even used hair spray on it). 24 hours later, my hair needed a touch up with the straightening iron to get rid of the weird curls that had developed while I slept. (Normally when I straighten my hair, I don’t need the iron until after I have washed my hair 2-3 day later). There were a few flyways present, but not bad. 48 hours later. Hair needs to be touched up again with straightening iron. Very few flyways.So, in summary, I like the body scrub, shampoo, and conditioner. The leave in conditioner is good as a leave in conditioner, to help with combing through wet hair, and controlling flyways. The leave in conditioner is not a multipurpose product. I still have to add additional styling products, so I would skip buying that one separately. My hair needed way to many “touch-ups” for me to be able to recommend that one item in the set, unless you are only getting it to control flyways, without the greasy look of typical hair oils.
