I’ve been using the eufy SoloCam S40 for more than a year and I’m still enjoying its stability and durability. They recently released the eufyCam3 so I decided to upgrade my home security system a bit.This eufyCam 3 kit arrived 3 days ago. The setup process was easy and simple, I got them running in 10 minutes. So far everything is working fine. These 4K cameras are hawk-eyed and monitor everything happening around our home, which makes me feel at ease. I mean, image clarity is really important for a surveillance camera, and that’s one of the reasons I chose to upgrade. Here I used it to take a photo of my succulents for reference. Note: the camera is not designed to monitor close objects, so anything 2 feet away should be in focus and sharp.)Apart from the very sharp image quality and AI features, the overall system seems to be of high quality. To name a few: the integrated solar cell is a clever design, eliminating the need for additional solar panels; The expandable storage means I can backup and store potentially unlimited video/photo footage securely (I have to delete some video recordings once for my SoloCam S40 due to storage limit); the wireless video sync latency has been optimized a lot, meaning the time from opening the eufy Security App to actually see the video is shortened; Finally, I would say the object detection algorithm is improved significantly as well. Now it can recognize pets, human (including faces), cars, way more accurate than the last gen. Then you have more control over the notifications and alarms.Although there are still some small bugs in the software, but they don’t affect my impression of it. They are OTA FW upgrade resolvable. Another suggestion I have for them is to allow for more mounting choice, like adding a screw hole at the bottom.

Pros: Adding SanDisk 240GB SSD to Home Base, for increased storage, and formatting was smooth and easy. Installation of cameras very straightforward (app tutorial included) and Eufy app set up very intuitive (initial charging at Home Base prior to camera installation can take a few hours). Customization and options for individual cameras excellent. Solar charging has kept cameras at approximately 95% charge over two weeks with thousands of incidents recorded. Color and black and white night vision have excellent clarity. 4K resolution is excellent. Dual microphones very sensitive with very good sound quality in app. Ability to turn Home Base into a Wi-Fi extender is an excellent feature for extending range.Cons: no app for PC. Ability to share a camera, or a location, for 24 hours, but no events accessible and no controls for each camera during live feed (almost entirely designed for mobile use through app). Speakers built into cameras to speak through can break up at times if set on full volume.Excellent quality and features overall.

I like these cameras and the Eufy system. We’ve had some car break-ins in our neighborhood, and I decided I’d like to have video evidence if it happens to us. These cameras shoot in great 4k and even work well in the dark. They are motion-activated and recorded on my Homebase device, which I own. I can access the video directly on my phone and send it over the police if ever needed which is a huge plus.There are no fees after buying; you store all the videos remotely on your Homebase. This is a great way to save money and keep your video secure. The cameras are excellent 4k cameras with motion detection and are solar-powered, so you don’t have to run cables.The four-camera kit has a home base device that allows up to 16T of storage. I have ordered a 2T storage that should be way more than enough for years! I also have added a doorbell and wired inside the camera by Eufy to the system, and they are working great with the system. I love that the app notifies you when there is motion and does a proper recording based on your chosen setting. I wish I had learned about Eufy and bought this a few years ago!

I have owned wired and wireless systems from other brands in the past . This system is my favourite so far. The overall setup of the wifi and base in the house was simple and took less than 10 minutes. Cameras connected quickly and so did the setup. Outside installation was a breeze, I was in and out for 4 cameras in less that 30 minutes and was able to pick any location due to wireless connectivity.The AI face recognition and camera video quality is also amazing⦠and NO monthly fees, how can you go wrong.Got these on sale but honestly would have been happy at full price now that they are up

I can’t express my feelings through my words. That much quality & ease of use, if you thoroughly read the user manual. 4K, wireless streaming. The only disadvantage I’ve noticed is it support only 2.4 Ghz Wifi. Else, all are top notch. I’ll update it later after my continuous usage.
