(Updated) weird child voice and random loud prompts
Updateâ¦..The manufacturer sent me a note informing me they just pushed out a firmware update allowing one to turn off the annoying and random child voice within a time range, it works however I would suggest they add a simple on/off option the app, rather than messing with a calendar setting. Iâve amended my star rating and thank them for being responsive and addressing this issue.Original reviewâ¦â¦A decent robot camera, responsive and straight forward to setup however is âuselessâ in my opinion unless you want to hear what the manufacturer thinks is a cute 4 year old yelling out ârola! peekooooâ with a old timey horn honk at random times, no way to shut it off, zero! Randomly this insane voice blurts out something during the day while I was on a zoom call or in the middle of the night waking everyone up ⦠whenever it feels like it – this weird annoying child voice screaming outâ¦. Run â¦do not walk if you want peace and privacy in your house. 1 star at best. and not cute .. horrible.

I LOVE this little robot. I really didn’t know what to expect here and really expected a lot less than what this was. First off it’s crazy cute, it also moves easily over our rugs and hard floors, and while it did get stuck a couple times it was easy to back up a few times and unstick. The “wheels” are more like off-wheel tank belts which makes it pretty sturdy, though it did need some help cleaning the lint off of them after a couple days. Even our dog running it over a few times it always seems to land on it’s feet or in a position where it was easy to get moving again.I work from home and we have a 6 month old puppy who is not 100% potty trained. I wasn’t really sure what to do with this but I found it incredibly useful to watch the livingroom or back patio door while I was working in the other end of the house. I can talk to him and tell him to stop chewing or see when he needs to go outside. Our girl dog didn;t care at all about this robot, our puppy is a little concerned and does bark at it a bit but now he is used to it and I use it ALL THE TIME to watch and monitor him while working.Our couch is also pretty high and this thing fits perfectly under the couch so I have also used to it push out and retrieve or “find” lost under bed and couch items. The night vision works really well and the day vision looks almost as good as my galaxy phone. It also has some nice features to make sounds or call your phone (I rolled it up to my husband and asked him to call me from the livingroom which he did by pressing the button on the top). I do think some things could be better like I haven’t found a way to make this to do motion sensing capture which would be nice, but it also seems like the app is updated with new features frequently so who knows what that will eventually bring.This is also made by the same makers as Ebo which I am very familiar with but do not own, I have wanted an Ebo robot for a couple years and was excited to see this was from the same maker and uses the same app. Honestly if I was going to get a house camera this is probably the one I would get. I also like the security features of it not really looking like a camera which to me makes it a bit more discreet if someone really did break in. Might even scare the hell out of them when it starts following them around talking…Really no complaints, I received this product for free to review but we are contractually obligated to leave honest reviews and this is one I would have paid full price for any day. If you are looking for a pet cam, this is the best one, hands down. The battery also does not seem to need frequent charging, we have been running it a week and are barely below 90% charged.

If you are a pet owner who frequently monitors your furry companion, this pet camera may be for you. It integrates with an app and features a high-resolution 2K camera, allowing well-detailed video of your pet while away. We use the Rola Mini 2k to monitor and interact with a couple of cats, and for that, it works well. I think one of this deviceâs most notable advantages is its remarkable battery life. It can go for extended periods without needing a recharge, and when a recharge is needed, it will easily dock with the magnetic charger.The camera has a sturdy construction and has an aesthetic design that is both pleasing and functional – it can go under low places, as well as automatically flip over when tossed by our dog (that would rather it leave him alone). It navigates hardwood floors and thin rugs without any difficulty. Given the low height of the treads, it will have some difficulty on thicker rugs.You can add the robot to your 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz network. I have it configured on our 2.4 GHz network to allow for better range, but itâs nice to see that it will also connect to a 5 GHz network for better video transmission speed.The audio quality is satisfactory, and the robot incorporates a voice chat button on its top.Both sides receive a clear but slightly tinny sound. Overall, the sound is good for a product in this price range.The appâs user interface is also user-friendly and straightforward, providing the video window and chat features front and center. Other functionality in the app allows the robot to interact and entertain your pets. As an additional benefit, 7 days of complimentary cloud storage is provided with the device. Alternatively, you can opt to record more video by simply lifting the track off the bottom of the unit and inserting an SD card.Overall, this is a fun product and should work great for someone that wants to be able to check-in with their pets while at work. It provides nice value for the price as well. Recommended.
