A wonderful way to bring a kid into the kitchen to actually help!
Upfront disclosure: I received this item through the Amazon Vine program for review.I have been cooking since I was a small child because my mom always thought it was important that her children could cook well. Frankly I loved helping out and still love to cook so many years later. I ordered this as a kit to encourage my grandson to help his mom in the kitchen and since he is always underfoot in the kitchen this is going to be exciting for him. When this kit came I took a close look at everything in the kit. I want to state that I would never suggest letting a kid play with anything here unsupervised. Everything came in a nice little tub to store everything easily. There are a few fun recipe cards that are totally geared towards some easy foods that a child would really enjoy. There is a nice assortment of tools most are plastic though the melon baller is metal. All of these things are similar to what I would find at a dollar store 20 years ago, though probably a bit better quality than what I would find at a dollar store today. The knives are plastic but will definitely cut. They have been designed to only cut with an away motion so they are actually designed to train good cutting technique while being reasonably safe. The only thing that gave me any pause was the melon baller. The melon baller is fairly stiff in operation (not uncommon in these when they are new). Over time it should get a bit easier in operation but new of the box it might be a struggle for some kids to fully use. Overall this is a fantastic and joyful kit. I would buy this again in a heartbeat.

Too Cute and Yet So Real
My niece loves to help with baking and cooking, I had her peeling garlic and chopping onions when she was 2! She can’t come over without asking when we are baking banana bread or some kind of muffins and I just thought this would be a really cool thing to have around for when she is here helping in the kitchen. The apron is cute, the case is great, the measuring cups are accurate which is a plus haha, but my real highlight from the whole thing is the knives! Not only are they 100% kid safe but they are also 100% safe to use in a lot of the stone baking dishes I have that I can’t use metal in so it was a win win for me. If you have a little chef in the family this is a great gift or asset to keep around the house for them. My niece loves it and I am happy to have it.

This set was better than expected. The apron even has a plastic adjuster on it. Everything comes individually wrapped in plastic inside a clear latch container. This set is very giftable! For the current $40 price point with a coupon for 20% off, I’d say it’s worth it, especially if it’s a gift, just to have it all matching and already together for you. Just be aware that yes, it is technically 31 pieces but they also count each individual recipe card, measuring cup, cookie cutter, ect. as one item not the whole set as one item. Overall I am satisfied with this set and was surprised the quality was decent.

fun for baking together
I got this cooking set for my kids, and they absolutely love it! It has everything they need to feel like real little chefs, from utensils to a cute carrying case. The fact that the knives are safe for kids makes it easier for me to let them help in the kitchen without worrying too much. Theyâve been having a blast cooking and baking together, and I’ve noticed theyâre improving their fine motor skills while having fun.
