We got this for our 5-year-old for educational and some leisure, and I’m really pleased with how well it works. Full disclosure: the first tablet we got was defective in screen backlight BUT the seller contacted us and offered an exchange which we accepted, so this is the 2nd tablet. And it works GREAT!Would also like to point out that this seller is VERY responsive and helpful. We trust this seller and would consider their other products without hesitation. Very good experience with a very good product.(Previous review appears below – you will note we LOVED the product until the backlight went out, but that is not a problem with the replacement unit, which is holding up very, very well.)- – – – -PREVIOUS REVIEW:PREVIOUS HEADLINE: “Worked Well Until Screen Went Permanently Dim After Only 3 Weeks Light Use”PREVIOUS WRITTEN REVIEW: This tablet was used as an educational tool for our 5 year old who is very gentle with things and frankly we never leave him unsupervised with the tablet because it had only educational type of software installed on it and we would work with him. Also you dont really want to leave a 5 year old alone with such a big screen that could crack. But that’s not the problem we had.Our problem is that the screen has gone permanently dim and since I am an app developer, amongst other things, and speak Android relatively fluently, I can tell you that I have done absolutely everything to try to reset anything that might be causing the problem. I have come to the conclusion that it’s just the backlight and I don’t really want to disassemble an inexpensive tablet just to try to swap out a backlight that probably can’t be swapped out anyway since it’s likely one unit with the led display that sits in front of it.So it worked just great and it even felt pretty fast. Of course we weren’t running the most challenging apps but then it’s a tablet for kids and the apps that you’re going to run for young children are not going to be particularly taxing on the apu so that’s not really such an issue. The memory is more than ample and we even put in an extra card. Until it stopped working the screen was very bright and very crisp and very clear and especially for this price range I thought it was a great value.But I’m really disappointed that after only two to three weeks of light use that was constantly supervised by parents interactively, we would experience a permanent screen dimming that is so dim I can barely even see anything except under the brightest possible light, or in a completely dark room, depending on the feature I’m trying to access. Full resets do not fix it. This is a hardware problem.I don’t know if the problem is that there is a bad component that is unique to my situation or if perhaps the problem is that there are cheap components used in all of these and it’s just sort of anybody’s guess when it’s going to go out, and which particular control is going to fail. In this case it’s a pretty important part since it’s the display screen and while we can still use the touch feature, which is important in diagnosing to tell me that it’s not likely a bad screen but more likely a backlight it’s still a problem since it renders the tablet unusable.I really liked it and the 5 year old absolutely adored it and it worked well and it was fast and it was bright and it was crisp and it was clear and everything was just fine until powering it up two days ago created this problem that I have now spent hours and hours and hours trying to fix. Just out of nowhere.I want to stress that this is based on my experience directly with this tablet and I have no idea if this is indicative of every tablet that’s being shipped out. I can only talk about the one that I received and I like to make this clear if I ever give something a relatively poor rating, and right now I’m debating whether this gets 1 star or 2 If you see a two star rating it’s because that means I thought it worked pretty well until it failed. One star rating it means that I have concluded that something working pretty well for only a couple of weeks just isn’t good enough and there is a major issue hereSo I really can’t recommend this and I had really high hopes that it would keep working for at least a couple of years because it was so useful and because it worked so well and because it was just perfect for the 5 year old under parental supervision with learning software. I am disappointed to say that I cannot recommend it at all based on mine failing so quickly and seemingly without reason.

It was a great tablet.
I say was cuz the tablet was great. The case not so much. Picture quality was great. Storage capacity held up great. Charged semi fast. Very easy to use and browse through. Screen size was amazing. Functioned perfectly. My kid loved it. Til he threw it and broke it. Cases for kids need to be super strong and thick and most definitely need a screen protector that actually protects the screen. If you do not have a destructive child i definitely recommend this tablet. In the tablets defense my child is non verbal autistic and throws everything. But otherwise, perfect device for kids. I highly recommend this tablet.
