Charging is a pain, but overall good buds
The JLAB Go Air Pop Wireless Earbuds (Navy Blue) are unexpectedly nice for true wireless earbuds with a current list price of under $20. The case is light. The bud covers come in three sizes (although annoyingly, there’s no storage bag or case, so the spares will be easy to lose), and the earbuds are comfortable. The tips are soft and the plastic doesn’t press weirdly or irritate my ears.Sound quality is as-expected for buds at this price point, which isn’t great for music. Sound settings can be EQ’d in the JLab app, which helps some, but clarity was muddy and bass remained muted no matter how the settings were tweaked.Podcasts and calls were remarkably clear, though, which is the purpose for these buds, since they’ll be used solely for taking calls at coffee shops and in offices. As they’re only IPX4 (sweat-resistant and water splashes), light indoor use is the extent of how I’d use these anyway, since that makes them only sweat and water resistant.Pairing these earbuds is easy and the touch controls are simple to use and responsive. Those, too, can be customized within the JLab app.My only real complaint with these earbuds is that charging the buds and case is reliant on a built-in USB-C cable, which causes two issues. First, if the cable gets pulled or damaged, the case is completely dead as there’s no option to charge with an external cable. And second, the cable is extremely short, which makes charging it a pain in less than an ideal situation. With my work, less than ideal is my standard, so that will remain a hassle the entire time I own these.Still, for the price, these are hard to beat as backup or light use office buds. I recommend them.

Sound is clear and not loud for the non-listeners!
My son loves these better than his AirPods! Great price and I can’t hear him playing his music!

    I Mean, Hey, They’re JLabs, So…
JLabs is a pretty standard brand for audio, so I had no doubt these little buds would work just fine. Easy to sync and operate the controls. The sound is pretty good. The mids are a little muddy, but not awful. The bass is doable.I tried them out, but I actually got them for my wife. She had to switch to the small cups, and said a little smaller would fit better. But she hasn’t had any issues with them sealing up or falling out. The controls work well, except they’re not dual sided control like a lot are. It’s not an issue though if using it for listening while the phone is in reach. The price is alright, but you can get them as of this posting for 1/3rd the cost for Black Friday at Wally World. I got them as an impulse before comparing. Still, decent little buds.

Decent sound, easy to pair, and an overall good value
I have had JLap Go Air Pop before and have always had a decent experience with them. The are a good value for the price and offer decent sound and other features through the use of the tap buttons on the side. To be honest, I don’t memorize the patterns to use the buttons and primarily control my audio playback from my watch or phone. Either way, I can pause/play with a single tap.I normally use my old trusty buds with a mechanical tap as I find it harder to get the feedback from the sensor tap while I am running but these work great either way.BL, for the price I recommend these as a decent alternative, and I love the built in USB connection…means one less cord to bring with me for charging.

OK, But a Few Poor Design Choices Ruin Them
These aren’t bad budget level earbuds on the whole. They’re comfortable to wear, look very attractive, the sound quality is decent, and they connect easily enough. But there are a few design choices that let them down a bit, and that’s the difference between ok and great earbuds unfortunately.1. They’re hard to remove from the case. The lid only opens to a 90 degree angle and it’s hard to get your fingers behind the earbuds to remove them from the case. I have other earbuds with the same design, but they all make it easy to lever the earbud out of its slot with one finger pulling them at an angle. With these, it’s almost impossible to do that and you really need two fingers to grab and lift them out. And without the room behind them to grab, it’s annoying to remove them unless you have tiny fingers.2. I often use a single earbud to listen to podcasts or television while working around the house. And you can use one earbud at a time with these, but unfortunately unlike most earbuds, they didn’t mirror the controls to each earbud and instead the left earbud has half the controls and the right the other half. So if you have the right earbud in you can only turn the volume up but not down, you can skip forward but not back, and you can pause what you’re listening to. If you have the left bud in you can turn the volume down but not up and skip back but not forward, and you can’t pause anything. This is just a poor design and makes single earbud use virtually unusable.3. The case has the charging cord permanently attached with no other slot or even wireless charging option. The cord does tuck away conveniently into the case, but inevitably, all cords fail, and when this one does your earbuds become worthless and can’t be charged. Yet another design choice seemingly made by someone who has never used earbuds much in their life.So overall, these are ok but even a small amount of real world beta testing would have revealed these issues. Instead, they’re just potentially really good earbuds let down by bad design in a few areas.

Wish the sound was louder and easier to remove from charger. I do like that it comes with its own charging port
