Good purchase at ANY price
Admittedly, I chose this item initially because of low price (with equally low expectations). But, to my surprise this electric hot pot fulfills all my needs…and then some! I especially like the non-stick interior which makes clean up a snap. The removable heavy duty cord makes it a breeze to move it from counter-top to table for serving. Cool to the touch exterior surface and vertical “coffee mug” type side handle are helpful features. Storage is easier than some others with a horizontal “fry pan” type handle that sticks out and takes up more space. Smaller 1.5 liter capacity is best suited for 1-2 people. The 300/600watt energy draw takes slightly longer to boil water for pasta than a larger pot. But, works fine for soups and stews. In my case, (RV use) the lower power draw works quite well off-grid with 12vdc to 110AC inverter. All in all, a very satisfactory purchase delivered promptly, as always, by Amazon Prime 👍.

This review is for 1.8L Electric Hot Pot，Ramen Cooker, Dual power supply Mini Portable Multi-Functional Lazy Pot for…, $20.88I got this to replace my rice cooker that’s a bit smaller than I prefer. This pot is quite a bit bigger, and it should be more versatile as well.Unfortunately there are serious problems with this pot. The worst is that you have to be really careful washing it. The interior cooking surface does not come out of the rest of the device, so you have to be careful not to get water on the outside, where it can get into the wiring. That’s not easy to do. Completely forget about using the dishwasher or immersing this in the sink like you can do with regular pots.Next, the manual doesn’t tell you how to operate it, and especially what the positions on the switch mean. The markings on the switch are I, II and III. When cooking rice, the setting III brings everything to a rapid boil. II still results in a strong boil, enough that the liquid bubbles up and out of the steam vent. The I setting seems to be off. Unlike my rice cooker, I had to keep an eye on it to make sure it didn’t boil over on the II setting.What I suspect is supposed to be the power light doesn’t work on my cooker – it’s always off.The handle on the lid has straight vertical edges and is hard to grasp. You need to grab it really hard to keep it from slipping out of your grip, and it gets pretty hot on top of that.On the positive side, it did a pretty good job of cooking the rice and seemed to shut itself off a little before it was done (hard to be certain because the power light doesn’t work). I let it sit for a few minutes after to fully absorb the water. The pot is really light and easy to move around. The feet on it are low and that makes it easy to put the whole thing in the fridge.

Functional
I was looking for a pot to use when I’m traveling overseas due to allergies so I can’t always find food I can eat, and I love this pot, I usually don’t like using non stick stuff and strictly stainless steel but just use wooden utensils and you’re fine and try not to scratch it. It cooks ramen fast and the first thing I love about this is that it’s very lightweight so it doesn’t take too much room or too much weight of my checked luggage

Heats up in a matter on minutes!
My wife and daughter have been wanting to try making hotpot recently. I got them this for the first attempt. We were all shocked by just how fast it was able to bring an entire pot full of cold soup to a boil, maybe 5 minutes. After that it took only a minute to cook the noodles they put in there. The hotpot was delicious and they are both super excited to make more.
