Great option for music while swimming
Iâve tried numerous different headphone option for swim workouts. The last few years I had been using the H20 audio mp3 player and earbuds. I found the shokz openswim pros to be a much better option and are now my go to for swim days. Sound quality is all relative. These headphones obviously will not sound as good as over ear sound canceling headphones or even AirPods. But relative to other under water options I found these to have great sound, even while swimming without ear plugs. Volume level was great, could hear things well with volume well bellow max. Underwater the base can get muffled so very bass heavy songs may not sound great, but itâs still better than the alternative – worse sounding options or god forbid swimming without music, which is for insane people. The headphones didnât move, stayed in place over longer swims, flip turns etc. controls are easy to use and function well. Can easily hear your surroundings including people asking to share a lane. I had tried the finis bone conduction headphones years ago and the tech in the openswim is much much better – better sounding, consistent sound under water, smaller footprint. In ear earbuds rely on a solid waterproof seal in your ear so are pretty inconsistent and slide around a bunch once you get a little water in there. And not having to clip anything onto goggle strap is also a plus – super easy to pop on and get swimming. Also, I only use the mp3 play functionality in water. Using Bluetooth for a swim is worthlessð, which is to be expected. If youâre looking for Bluetooth headset options for swims you wonât find any. This is the longest review Iâve ever written. Must mean these things are pretty solid and were a pleasant surprise.

These are wonderful with a tiny small “but” …
First, I love these better than any other “headphone” or earbud option I’ve tried. They’re waterproof, so no amount of sweat at the gym is going to bother them, and you can indeed swim with them, and these things STAY ON your head.Every other ear-bud type I’ve tried needs occasional adjustment to keep from falling out, or, eventually falls out because of sweat at gym, or other activities and movements. The Shokz OpenSwim Pro will stay on your head no matter what you do, or how active you are. You can probably take these surfing and get beat by waves and they’ll stay on.The only complaints I have are that phone and app is strongly recommended, and when on MP3 mode with shuffle enabled, it doesn’t remember the last song played so if you want to go back it just loads a different song in the shuffle, and the shuffle feature’s lack of memory also makes it where a song you just heard 3 or 4 songs ago gets repeated a lot sooner than expected even if you have 16GB of a LOT of music to choose from. I have a 20-year-old mp3 player from another other company that doesn’t have this minor annoyance, but, it’s not waterproof, and it’s not wireless, and Shockz OpenSwim Pro covers those important features, as well as staying on me head.Additionally, they sound great, plus the open-ear feature allows for better situational awareness wherever you are, though, you can turn the volume up enough that you won’t notice things going on around you if you want.Further, these last a LONG time; at least 7 hours non-stop. I also don’t even feel these on my head, so there’s no long-term discomfort issues as can happen with some earbuds.I was going to give these 4 stars, but, despite the minor issues noted, because these are so great at everything else, they merit 5 stars.

Very nice for daily use
Iâm not a swimmer nor a runner. I got these more because Iâve always found bone conduction cool and love music. It being waterproof is an amazing plus. Iâve listened to them in the shower and wow the waterproof aspect is amazing. The sound quality doesnât even change for a second even when Iâm getting blasted in the head with water. I thought they would at least gargle in the water but no! One thing i was worried about is people being able to hear my music. I tested it in a silent room and on level 1 volume I can hear it clear as day but others could not. Thatâs another major plus. They are insanely comfortable sitting on my head for 10 hours a day while I work. I work in a fairly loud environment but I can turn these up and still hear perfect. And since they arenât plugs I can still hear around me. It took maybe 3 days to get absolutely used to them sitting on my head now I donât even notice them. One issue I had on OTHER earbuds is when they sit in your ear for hours and start hurting, these are super light weight i forget I have them on. Also being able to listen with both ears instead of one at a time and still being able to hear outside my music is awesome. Charging cord is magnetic so i can just throw them on and pull them off which is nice. I havenât been able to get them lower than 40% using them off and on in my whole day. They seem super durable as Iâm able to lay down with them on and they barely move and the material itâs made out of is very nice. They preform way better than expected and have become my new daily headphone.

Versatile and Reliable for Any Activity
These headphones are incredibly versatile, whether Iâm swimming laps in the pool or running trails. The bone conduction technology keeps my ears open to the environment while delivering clear, high-quality sound. The music isnât as bass-heavy as traditional headphones, but they deliver surprisingly good bass if you cover your ears with a winter hat or use earplugs. That said, if youâre outside, I wouldnât recommend earplugs since it defeats the purpose of open-ear headphones. The waterproof design, built-in MP3 player, and secure fit make these perfect for workouts and outdoor adventures. A great all-around choice.

They turn on randomly on their own and don’t like where the on/off button is because of that but otherwise they work great. Haven’t tried the mp3 function yet, mainly just Bluetooth and phone calls

I would say that is the best for swimming. Pro:Battery: good, sound is good,Not so good:- the grip is not always the best at least when you push in force at the start of the lane.- nose clip is almost useless (to small and hard, I use my old one). For sure, are the best for bone conduction.

Le uso sia per nuotare che per correre, sono ottime, mi ci trovo veramente beneLa qualità audio non è eccelsa, ma non è quello che si cerca in queste cuffie

Klang ist glasklar! Im Wasser allerdings ohne EarPlugs eher schlechtes Sounderlebniss. Generell gut verarbeitet. Funktional alles da was das Sportlerherz begehrt.
