A better value than Ring.
A coworker suggested this brand to me because they do not need a subscription. I was skeptical at first not buying a major player brand. I came out pleasantly surprised at the quality and ease of setup. Everything went well for me and I had a complicated setup where I had to wire in a new box. They think of everything including a hook to hang the light as you are making final wire connections.The AI is not always correct though as should be expected. A couple of times I have had a scary notification at 3am that “somebody has been spotted” and it was a moth. One time was super eery as it was a moth flying erratically on the sidewalk and looked exactly like human eyes bobbing up and down walking. Be prepared for some jump scares. Another time a spider built a nest near the microphone and his legs made this loud hammering sound that was very unsettling but it was an anomaly of a small creature being right on top of the mic. The spiders will also build webs and their silk looks like some kind of alien floating orbs of white light in the middle of your viewfield. This thing has been an adventure in nerves.The HD quality is great. You get high detail unlike some other cheapo cams I’ve bought I the past. It’s been running flawlessly for months now. I especially like that I can use a low light that shifts to high light when something is detected.

The camera is perfect as peolple dont even know it is there, they just think that is a floodlight as the camera seems to be hidden by the light brightnes, during the day you can see it barely as it looks like a sensor. Built quality is great and videos are detailed. The duo camera set up is great and the detection range is on point. The app works good for the must part but I have seen that it works best if you close it completly even from your phone recent apps, every time you finish using it.

It’s good.. just has some annoying issues
The goodCamera images quality is good.Speed of tracking is phenomenal.On board storage is a little weak but of you are using for security get on HB3 and get enough hdd space for your needs.Wifi connection was easy but is dependent on your home network.The lights are good and bright but can be adjusted to your needs for both ambient and detection levels.It looks good.Zone detect can be setup for security.A decent value for the money if the annoyance can be overlooked..The bad. You cannot refine your predefined views with any accuracy. What I mean by this is that let’s say… you’ve got your camera set up and it’s about showing an area that’s about 3 ft to the right of where you want it to show so you move it to the left and it moves 5 ft to the left the way you lose 2 ft of what you want to show on the right. Define tuning of the views is very weak. If you get lucky and the perfect view shows up where you want it to you’re in luck but I have tried everything aside from moving the camera to another position since it’s hard wired…. you really cannot do that easily. It’s really my only quip about it and it’s actually a big annoyance

This security camera is awesome!!! Easy to set up!! And that saying a lot from me… lol. It follows any movement in the yard.. alerts me of any movement in the yard.. I can play back any time, and download to my phone easily!! I can even talk to people through it!!! The quality of the picture is awesome!! Even on the download!! I did a screen shot off of it of me and the ol lady, zoomed in on it to make a picture, looks great!!!! Highly recommend!!!!!

Update: So today I go to check my camera and find out my flood camera is off-line. I tried to reset it. I go through the troubleshooting steps and nothing. This camera is just dead. Iâm done with Eufy cams! I purchased the floodlight Eufy cam and the Eufy pan cam. Nothing but junk! Their equipment looks attractive, but the technology is poor. These cameras donât really function as advertise. Motion detection is horrible. Ai, what Ai? The cameras are unable to distinguish between humans, pets, and wind. Sometimes the cameras pick up nothing at all. The flood cam is an overpriced piece of junk. The floodlights rarely come on. I thought they were supposed to function like floodlights whenever the motion detects motion the floodlight should come on, but they donât. Sometime they come on, but most of the time they donât come on. Honestly, Wyze cameras function better than Eufy. I know because I put them to the test. Now I am going to pack this floodlight back into the box and return it back to Amazon. Iâve already purchased a new floodlight camera by another brand. I wonât be using Eufy products anymore. People depend on cameras for their personal security. We are so busy with life and donât have time to be playing around with these cameras or playing around with our lives. I wanted to like this camera because I like how itâs designed but the technology is just not there. So far all Eufy has developed are good looking products that lack functionality. Iâm so glad the return window is still open else Iâd be out of over $200.Installing this camera was not a problem. The video quality is pretty good. Eufy Local Ai motion detection needs improvement. Motion detection is detecting my little 12lb. dog as a human. Also, floodlights take too long to turn on when motion is detected. My major problem is the app. The app needs improvement! Eufy needs to separate scheduling and Geo fencing from mode change. A user should be able to switch modes with scheduling and Geo fencing still running in the background. Currently, the app doesnât function like that. You have to pick one or the other. So throughout the day, I have to go into the app and switch modes, depending on if Iâm at home, if Iâm in bed, or if Iâm away. Scheduling only works for someone who has the same schedule every day for coming home or leaving home. You canât use scheduling while youâre using Geo fencing and I think thatâs ridiculous. I can simply do it with my Wyze cameras. Itâs too much work having to switch between modes throughout the day. With my Wyze cameras, I donât have to do that. I would love to keep this camera because the video quality is decent. However, until they improve the scheduling feature in the app, Iâm probably going to have to return and go with Wyze.

The screws are small and Philips it was hard to keep the screws on the end of the screw driver. If they used Torque screws or Square screws it would have really helped. The video and lighting is fantastic could not be happier. I was quite surprised that it actually panned and followed targetsâ¦.:) Thanks Eufy. I also bought the Base and installed a 1tb hard drive so no more monthly fees. It was costing me 220 $ a year in fees from their competitor and the quality was poor, they only kept the videos for 30 days. With Eufy there are no fees and I decide when to delete videos with the 1tb hard drive on the base station. I think I am good for 10 years.

This is a high quality camera and the pan function is very good.Pros: – No monthly subscription. – Can control and view remotely from the App. – Push notifications to your phone. – The A.I. can detect people, pets, and vehicles, and also pan the camera to follow them. – You can set zones to detect and zones to ignore. And you can set privacy zones to not record. – when paired with the Eufy homebase 3, 24/7 recording is supported.Cons: – The A.I. is still learning so it gets confused easily, I had to turn off push notifications because every time it snows it would constantly notify me of people being detected when it would just be snow flakes. – The detection zone doesn’t work, the camera constantly detects vehicles driving by outside of the detection zones -If you set privacy zones the camera will no longer pan.
