Reliable and Easy-to-Use Security System!
Iâve invested in three of these cameras, along with the eufy doorbell and HomeBase, and I couldnât be happier with the setup. The solar-powered feature is a huge plus because I donât have to worry about battery life or charging. The video quality is crystal clear, both during the day and at night, and the motion detection is accurate without too many false alerts, with the exception of my Halloween decorations. The integration with the HomeBase works perfectly, and the app is awesome, which makes it easy to monitor everything in one place. Installation was simple, and I love that there are no monthly fees. If youâre looking for a reliable and hassle-free security system, this is an excellent choice. Highly recommend it for peace of mind at home!

Works well!
Very reliable, solar panel works well and battery holds the charge, and also very good day and night visibility. There are options for security alerts (light, microphone, etc.). We have four eufy security cameras (two solar) and have been pleased with the cameras. The only issue (applies to most security cameras) is setting up with 2.4GHz vs. 5GHz. There is a lot of installation advice online about troubleshooting the GHz if it an issue for your Wi-Fi band. Each camera gets easier to set-up and install! I recommend this camera.

Good for a wireless camera
Bought this camera after weeks of research and concluding that no wireless camera will truly reach the performance of a wired one, but this one comes a little close. Itâs been up for over a month now, and has not shown any sign of defection after weâve had pouring rain for weeks. The visibility at night is INCREDIBLE! The picture quality in general is beautiful, clear as day in day time. Its performance is flawless during the day, with no delays of alarms and sensors. Sound quality is also surprisingly really stable, can catch my neighbors conversation in his car. Motion detection was really important for us because we want to keep thieves away from our driveway, and it is more than sufficient *again for a wireless camera*. A lot of reviews complain about this, but fail to understand that these kind of cameras can only detect so much. The motion detection can be too sensitive, which may be good thing if you really want that extra security at night. You can also adjust its sensitivity and notifications in the app, so thatâs that. The notifications are timely, sometimes with a delay of a few seconds but nothing outrageous to the point where you could miss something crucial. Not to mention how EASY this was to set up!!!! Very straightforward connection to the app, and the app itself is very user friendly. Oh and the battery is holding up pretty well! Definitely love the solar panel option. Seriously worth the money if your only option is a wireless camera/you donât want to go through the hassle of a wired one. No ridiculous monthly fee, very user friendly and feeling a lot less anxious at night.

Great camera
Was worried about the app and camera but this works great (even grabbed a rain cover cap). The coverage is good and it picks things up fine. Iâm using it with homebase (network is super fast and stable) and wish the response was a bit faster for recording. Also (need to play more) notice it seems to cut off the recording from say vehicle to person when itâs the same area and should keep recording. The night vision is hinky. It ends up blurring out or whitening license plates and signage so I keep it off.Features are great though. Mounting is easy (did in brick). Allows for setting main power to solar panel.

Decent outdoor solar camera
This camera has a ton of features, it’s well-built, very easy to install and setup, and it’s reliable. I bought 2 and was so satisfied that I bought another 2 units.Update: The battery on one camera ran out of charge. I found how to fix it in minutes through Eufy troubleshooting. The solar panel MUST be set/changed from battery to solar panel. This is easily done through the Eufy app…1. Open the Eufy app2. Tap the triangle play icon3. Tap the gear/settings icon at top right4. Tap the Power Manager icon5. Near the bottom, tap Power Source6. Select External Solar PanelYour solar panel will now operate on solar charging.UPDATE: I spoke too soon, I’m now having problems with the solar panel charging the batteries. Took camera down to charge in house, really?Since someone can steal the whole camera and the evidence on the SD card, I signed up for Eufy cloud storage. They charged me even though my S340 cameras DON’T SUPPORT CLOUD BACKUP. Now the company is giving me the runaround And wants to keep my $10, that I got nothing for. It’s highly unethical to take from your customers.Update: The Eufy app is malfunctioning, they want full access to all my files, and the launcher is corrupt so it won’t let me choose a folder for Eufy content.

easy to install, great feature of solar power, practically can be installed anywhere. Wide view plus zoom is nice feature. The standard Eufy AI tracking and detection, plus ability to 2 way audio just add to this great prodcut.

I like it as basic motion based wifi and solar powered security cam. The options included light and/or sound alarm . It can distinguish between people, pets and cars. The pix quality in Color, day and night is excellent. And price is too. For all other fancy stuff youâll need to spend 2-3 times as much. But it does allow you to speak if your doorbell rings, and hear replyUSB for to allow positioning camera for sunny spot for recharging is a generous 10 ft.

First off, solar-powered? Hell yes! It’s like this thing is a plant, soaking up the sun to keep your house secure. No more scrambling for batteries like a squirrel on Red Bull.Let’s talk installation. If you can hang a picture frame, you can install this bad boy. It’s wireless, so you won’t be tripping over cords like a drunk at a garden party. Plus, it’s got 360° surveillance, so no more blind spots. It’s like having a paranoid owl on your side.Video quality? Crystal clear, baby. You’ll catch every detail, from the neighbor’s dog doing its business on your lawn to that sketchy person eyeing your packages. And the night vision? You’ll feel like you’re running a secret government operation. But here’s where it gets dicey. Compatibility is a bit like a fussy teenager. It doesn’t play well with all smart home systems. And the Wi-Fi? Better be strong, or you’ll be watching your intruders in glorious buffering.Price-wise, it’s up there. You might feel like you’re buying a small island. And the setup? You might need a PhD in rocket science to get it going. But once it’s up and running, it’s solid. Unless the sun goes on vacation â then the battery might throw a tantrum. No monthly fees, though. So you won’t feel like you’re hemorrhaging money every month just to keep an eye on things. And the motion detection? It’s like having a nosy neighbor who actually works for you.So, what’s the verdict? I give this eye in the sky a solid 4 out of 5. Itâs a bit pricey and can be a pain to set up, but once it’s running, itâs smoother than a jazz concert on a Sunday afternoon. Just make sure youâve got that Wi-Fi game strong. Happy spying, folks!
