Lifesaver
I use these in my Farberware portable dishwasher and they are fantastic. I know it’s totally possible to clean/descale my machine with vinegar but these tablets are much more effective. They clean out everything including the drain tube, and they do a good job of eliminating foul odors. I’d say that one tab neutralizes about 90% of all bad smells in my machine, which is way better than anything else I’ve tried. These tablets are convenient and effective and I highly recommend them.

Our dishwasher is about 13 years old, and has never had a “cleaner” run through it. I had to replace a part inside it, and noticed how much white crud had accumulated from the newer detergent pucks. For the first probably 5-6 years we ran the old fashioned Cascade detergent with phosphates in it, and we had zero issues. But that has been removed from the market, and these new detergents work but leave behind residue.Enter the Affresh tablet. We tossed it in with the dishes and a normal finish brand tablet. After that load, about 85% of the white crud was gone. Repeated this a couple loads later. Now its sparkling clean everwhere. Two thumbs up for Affresh.We also use the washing machine cleaner (on the “tub clean” cycle) once a month or so, and that does a wonderful job. Keeps things clean, sparkly, and smelling good. Also removed gunk from the drain tube.

did not help with gross smell
the dishwasher that came with our house smells gross no matter what we do. we can temporarily mitigate the smell by using good cleaner tablets. these are not them, they do not work at all. they didn’t lessen the smell at all. the Active dishwasher cleaner tabs are way better, more affordable, and last longer.
