Bourns, California, has introduced the model GDT21 Gas Discharge Tube (GDT) series, the latest surge protection device tailored for compact industrial and communication setups. This 2-electrode GDT offers enhanced transient voltage protection to shield systems from electrical surges caused by lightning and AC switching.

Built in a compact EIA 1206 package, the GDT series delivers advanced voltage-limiting capabilities crucial for space-restricted applications. Its swift response to rising voltage transients minimises potential stress on downstream components, ensuring reliable operation in challenging environments.
