The microcontroller supports CAN FD, wide voltage range, and real-time processing, designed for cars and industry to handle communication and control tasks.

The NuMicro M2A23 series is a 32-bit Arm Cortex-M23 microcontroller launched by Nuvoton, designed for automotive and industrial control applications. It operates in temperatures up to 125°C and supports a voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V. It features three CAN FD interfaces and an LLSI interface, making it suitable for in-vehicle CAN signal modules and lighting control systems.
Powered by an Arm Cortex-M23 core with a maximum frequency of 72 MHz, the series includes up to 256 KB of Flash memory, 24 KB of SRAM, 4 KB of Flash loader memory (LDROM), and 2 KB of SPROM for secure code storage. It supports multiple boot loader interfaces, including CAN FD, SPI, UART, and I²C. With up to six PDMA channels, it enables efficient data transfers, reducing CPU load. Additionally, it offers 12-channel 144 MHz PWM outputs for precise real-time task scheduling.

For communication, the series integrates a LIN interface, two UART interfaces with One-Wire, IrDA, and RS485 support, an I²C interface, an SPI interface, and two USCI modules configurable as UART, I²C, or SPI. Its three CAN FD interfaces ensure compatibility with modern automotive and industrial networks. Analog features include two comparators and a 12-bit ADC with a sampling rate of up to 2 Msps, 16 channels, and a built-in temperature sensor for reliable data acquisition.
The microcontrollers are designed for automotive and industrial applications, offering high-temperature resistance and advanced CAN FD functionality. In automotive systems, they support in-vehicle networks and body control devices, while in industrial automation, they enhance motor control and sensor data processing. Their robust features make them a strong choice for these sectors.
They are compatible with multiple IDEs, including Keil MDK, IAR EWARM, and Nuvoton’s NuEclipse. Development is further streamlined with tools like PinView and PinConfig, helping to accelerate time to market. The series is available in QFN48, LQFP48, and LQFP64 packages, with the largest variant supporting up to 55 GPIO pins.
