Technician, Test At CommScope In Goa

The primary responsibility of this position is to test fiber optic products according to established work instructions, evaluating product performance and collecting data to ensure conformance to requirements.

How You’ll Help Us Connect the World

• Conduct optical, mechanical, and environmental tests on fiber optic products.
• Collect, record, analyze, and report test data using Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Follow testing schedules and update the lab request system.
• Use custom software with test equipment to acquire data.
• Review and approve test plans and reports as needed.
• Communicate issues promptly to the test engineer.
• Assist in failure analysis.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of quality management system documentation, industry standards, and lab test equipment.
• Understand internal and external customer expectations.
• Follow department safety and efficiency programs.
• Participate in test equipment maintenance and validations.
• Complete training on lab processes, procedures, and test methods.
• Collaborate with lab staff in a team-oriented environment.
• Familiarity with a wide range of fiber optic products.

Related Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 1 + year of relevant experience testing fiber optic products according to international and IS standards in a laboratory environment.
