SO FAR–GREAT LAPTOP/PC!!
i wanted to wait a bit before I reviewed this, but I am going to go ahead and do it. It is a wonderful product and it was at a great price. Love the large screen. It was easy to set up and I have been using almost two months! I will update if anything changes, but so far this is a fantastic laptop at a fantastic price.

`Fast performance and size for this price
fast, good size, excellent pictures, battery go low easily, perhaps because of the performance, not ethernet port, you must buy and adaptor USB – ethernet, but in general is very good for the price

Quick ship, ample storage, decent price, works well for me
Overall I am happy with this purchase. I do find the display a bit mat – was thinking might be more glossy type but I can definitely get used to it. Excellent speed, plenty of memory, reasonably priced. I did notice however, when I registered with HP, I didn’t get full 12 month warranty but approximately 9 months.Hopefully the seller will stand behind this product for full 12 months in the event I have any issues, although I feel I should be fine.

Doesn’t support USB-C graphics, but there is a workaround.
I purchased this laptop 9 months ago. In general, it meets all of my needs for a business and personal laptop. However, my expectation was that I could use a docking station to connect to external monitors like my old Dell did. However, this HP model does not support graphics via its USB-C port. So, the monitor ports on the 3rd party docking station that I purchased from Amazon don’t work. All the other ports do work as expected.I was able to connect a second external monitor through the docking station by purchasing a Diamond Mutimedia BVU165LT adaptor ($31.78 from Amazon). It has a built-in Display Link video card to generate graphics and comes with adaptors for HDMI, DVI, and VGA Monitors. I now run one monitor via the BVU165LT, one through the laptop’s HDMI port, plus the internal display. You can run more monitors by purchasing BVU165LT adaptors for each one.Other than needing the Diamond adaptor for the third display, I am generally pleased with the HP laptop. As others have noted, it is a good, solid unit. The battery life has lasted for at least four hours. It is lighter than my old Dell, which was a real road warrior. The graphics are good, but probably not up to intense gaming, which isn’t my thing.

Do Not Buy – Perpetual BSOD
I never leave reviews, especially poor reviews, but NEED to share our story in case it helps you avoid what we just experienced.DO NOT buy this laptop. The price is *amazing* for its specs, and it is indeed too good to be true. Do not repeat my mistake. It is true this laptop is on the cheaper side – that was half the draw. While $500 is not much in the grand scheme of computers, it is still a lot of money. And, for that amount, it is fair to expect the machine to work properly right out of the box.I purchased this laptop (new) as a gift for my partner, to replace their old ASUS >10 years old. It was not intended for any intensive purpose. Truly, an Internet machine. We just returned it. My partner is upset, my gift to them ruined. I am despondent.Today is Tuesday. The laptop first arrived last Monday, and I completed initial Windows setup so it would be ready to go upon presentation of the gift later in the week. No issues during Windows setup that I could discern, so I replaced the packaging and wrapped it up pretty. Yay!This is where the joy stops.Within 24 hours of my partner receiving and starting to use the laptop (Thursday), it began to blue screen. Over, and over, and over. Even if nothing was running on the laptop.Countless hours my partner spent between Friday and Monday trying to fix the issue. Interestingly, System File Checker found corruptions on this brand new machine. Odd. Anyway, factory resets and Windows 11 re-installs did not stop the BSOD’s, which all but confirms a hardware problem. The dump files (countless .dmp files) suggest power/circuitry malfunction. We did everything we could to fix this problem, short of opening up the laptop itself. Additionally, when the laptop was not BSOD-ing into oblivion, it would freeze entirely. WHY? It is new.Perhaps the CPU (Intel) was faulty. I heard about problems with recent generations, so I went with this laptop that had an earlier (12th gen) CPU. Perhaps the 32GB RAM, which led me to buy this laptop, is cheaply made and caused the problem. Perhaps some other internal defect exists that we could not identify as we did not open up the machine. We’ll never know why this was happening, unfortunately, because… The other half of this quandary is that HP restricts access to advanced BIOS settings so you cannot troubleshoot or fix issues. There is no way around it. Perhaps this is to keep an unsophisticated grandma from bricking her laptop. Perhaps this creates artificial necessity for HP’s customer service, for which they charge more money. It is deplorable, regardless of the reason.Beyond the defective product, equally concerning is the return policy which states that a percentage (up to 50% of purchase price!) is withheld from the refund if seller and/or manufacturer decide the problem for which you returned the machine doesn’t exist, and/or they dislike having to replace the original packaging. Insult to injury: if the laptop doesn’t work, YOU MIGHT NOT GET YOUR MONEY BACK after you return it. My purchase was fulfilled through PCOnline US. I reserve comments until I see whether they choose to wrongly deprive me of a full refund. Even so, the policy should be called out as arbitrary, inconspicuous, and unfair to the consumer. When you buy a good, you are entitled to perfect tender. When you do not receive what you paid for, you are entitled to a refund.IN SHORT: A new laptop with these specs should not run this poorly. Period.

Good for price basic school or personal computer.
Keys feel a bit strange, but used to a Mac. Good basic computer for school or work at home. Donât use if for gaming or graphic work so fine for basic writing, spreadsheets, surfing web.

Great computer for the price
Ok, i initially wrote a review even though i had not received the laptop since they sent an email wanting me to. Shipping was a bit of a cluster BUT after receiving the computer, configuring etc., i’m digging it. I was using win 7 pro on my old HP and was hesitant but so far really like win 11 pro. All the “S” mode stuff i see is nonexistent on my computer. it’s fast, screen looks great and was able to network into my old laptop via wireless to copy files to the new computer. All in all, i think this is a good value for the money. Seller even upgraded the processor from 11th gen to 12th gen so that makes up for the shipping issues.
