Very satisfied with this smart watch!
It is a comfortable watch to wear, it is easy to read, and there are many choices for watch faces and other ways customize it. It is a great motivator for becoming more active and getting better sleep. It helps prioritize overall self-care. The watch arrived quickly and it perfect shape. Be sure to measure your wrist size before ordering a new fitness watch. This one fits me perfectly. Great purchase! By the way, I wear it for water aerobics classes, and it holds up great (waterproof). Long battery life too. Easy to connect to phone and a user-friendly app. It seems to be tracking everything accurately. I thought the price was right, too. I have not yet tried syncing music to it, so no report yet on music sound quality. I got the Vivoactive 5 with a white band with gold trim…very pretty and goes with everything!

Expansive health features & long battery life!
My son introduced the Garmin Vivoactive 5 fitness smartwatch with gps to me over dinner. I was amazed because it sounded like an Apple Watch but with more health tracking features and no current subscription needed. So I gave it a shot and got one.During my first week with it, I am astounded and excited about the features.Pairing it with my iPhone automatically relieved me of caring the iPhone everywhere I go. Unlike the iPhone it tracks every step without having the iPhone on me. Along with my heart rate, stress levels, sleep patterns, naps, etc. The battery life is much longer than average. With no current subscription required it was a one time payment sweet deal!Overall I like the accuracy, functionality, and display quality.

    Major upgrade over Vivoactive 4S
Fit: I have very small wrists – about 6.25” circumference – especially for a guy. I was initially concerned that the larger face versus the Vivoactive 4S might look clunky. But it is thinner and sits closer on the wrist, so it’s actually better. Sleeves don’t catch as easily and it’s very comfortable.Display: The AMOLED display is sharp and vibrant – very easy to read. I like that I can set it to stay on all the time so that I can glance at the time like a regular watch. In low power mode the watch face is still very clear.Features: Sleep tracking is as good as the Fitbit I used to have, maybe better. Fitness tracking and activities are easy to use and seem quite accurate. Heart rate monitoring accuracy is reasonably close to the Polar chest strap.Battery life: I charge it every few days, and I don’t think it has ever gone below 45%. Usually on the second or third day, it’s around 60% or 70%. With the display always on and other features active, I don’t think I’d get 11 days between charges, but that rating assumes you’re just in smart watch mode all the time. Battery life is more than adequate.Overall, a very good smart watch/fitness monitor. I like simple, straightforward design and features, and this one is great!

Many positives, and a few negatives
I was attracted by the multiple functions offered and the long battery life. I like its size, weight, GPS function, ability to track swimming distance, both in the pool and in open water, and multiple watch face designs that can be selected. On the negative side, at the higher heart rate levels seen when exercising, I do not think it is particularly accurate. Also, I think the sleep evaluation function is not very precise. Often I would wake up feeling good and be told that I had a bad night’s sleep.

    Nice watch
The battery life was not as long as I expected. Garmin advertises 11 days but I get about 7 and that’s with the display set to the low setting. That’s on par with ny old Vivoactive HR from years ago. Initially, I had problems with not being able to change the watch face not and called Garmin for help and sent a video. They agreed that I had followed the directions but was still unable to get to to change. I was about to return the watch when It suddenly starting working. I think there is a software feature connected to the sleep mode that prohibited me from changing the watch face because my ability to change the watch face was time dependent. It works fine now and I have not had the problem since. Other than that, the watch is very good and I’m happy with it. It has a lot of features that I like including GPS, sleep tracking, body battery, stress monitor, Heart rate, Abnormal heart rate monitoring, health snapshot, Music controls, respiration, and Pulse Ox monitoring. Nice Watch

    Great Information for POTS
I bought this watch because I have to be careful about sudden changes in heart rate and a concern about passing out. The Garmin does so much more but by wearing it, I am better able to manage heart rate changes and understand how to control this changes. This has been critical to getting back to a normal life. I also have piece of mind that should I fall it will send a notification to my emergency contacts and my location, as long as I have my phone with me. It also measures quality of sleep, steps, intensity, pulse ox, body battery and more. The phone app can help you track hydration and there are built in activities, challenges and tracking of those activities. Great watch!

I tried a Samsung Galaxy watch and returned it – the interface looked and functioned like it was programmed as a first-year CompSci project. I also tried a FitBit but it just didn’t have any office-appropriate faces. The Garmin Vivoactive 5 is head and shoulders above either of those, in a different class really. It has a good variety of classy and functional faces. Battery life is well over a week even with frequent use (the Samsung was one day, maybe). Interfaces are detailed and smooth. Sensors are consistent, and seem to be accurate, though I haven’t compared to medical grade equipment. The Stress indicator is creepily accurate, alerting me when I’m not even aware that a I’m stressed out – but it’s usually right. The only time I think it’s confused is after a hard workout. It reads recovery as stress – elevated heart rate, low heart rate variability, I’m guessing. Overall, very happy with the purchase.

Me encanta este reloj. Indica mi nivel de estrés del día, como dormí la noche anterior, el nivel de energía para enfrentar el día, entre otros como la medición de entrenamientos. Muy bueno y exacto. La aplicación es excelente.
