Feeling Safe & Secure with SimpliSafe Unit!
I initially ordered a different $50 alarm system from Amazon. It would only alert you if the alarm was triggered, not if any of the doors were opened in safe mode. I returned that unit & started doing research on SimpliSafe.I decided to spend the extra money during Prime Day & purchases the SimpliSafe Unit. All of the units were extremely easy to set up and connect! I am so impressed & happy with my decision. I havenât had any issues with connectivity/wifi. The app is extremely intuitive and easy to use. The sensors were easy to apply to doors & windows – it makes a pleasant sound when a sensor is triggered during home mode. I feel extremely safe in my home! Thank you SimpliSafe! So glad that I decided to spend the extra money to purchase this SimpliSafe unit!

A good alternative to overpriced, for-rent systems
We have had security systems from two different vendors (one that came with our house, and one we tried later on). Both were workable, but very expensive…ESPECIALLY if we needed to expand them. Adding door/window sensors, cameras, etc. not only came with a very high initial cost, but also resulted in additional monthly costs above and beyond what we were already paying. One of the vendors’ equipment in particular proved to perform quite poorly; it was centered around a touchscreen keypad that would often run so slowly that it could take 5 minutes for it to recognize that a door or window had opened. The vendor, of course, had no solution except to “upgrade” (at our cost). We’ve been researching alternatives for months. In the meantime, we’ve implemented things such as IP surveillance cameras and doorbell cameras, at a fraction of the cost of those offered by the above vendors. In the end, SimpliSafe just made the most sense. Purchase the equipment we want, install it ourselves (installation was SUPER easy), and pay a reasonable monitoring fee every month. All devices are wireless, so there was no wiring to be done. The batteries will eventually drain and need to be replaced, but that is a minor nit to pick compared to the ease of not having to run sensor and keypad wiring (or try to re-use what’s existing). And the system can use both our home wifi and its own cellular connectivity to dial home, so we’re still protected in case our Internet fails or is cut off.The only significant downside is that it does not directly integrate with our other smart home devices and systems. For us that’s not much of an issue, because we’re able to keep track of the 3-4 apps between them all, but if we absolutely had to, we could replace our existing devices with SimpliSafe ones and not have to spend too much money doing so.Overall, a great choice if you don’t mind (or you enjoy) doing the installation work yourself, and have at least a basic set of technical understanding. They do have installation options, but if you’re builing a system like this, you likely don’t need them to install it for you.

Peace of Mind
We purchased after an attempted home invasion left us feeling scared. We love that there are multiple options for free vs paid monitoring. Super simple to setup and install. Only complaints are if your doors are inset and not even with the frame, you have to become MacGyver to come up with a way to install them. Had no trouble with our front door, but had to add a block of wood to align the sensor in the back. I also wish the home unit was a lot louder. We can barely hear it from other rooms.

Good System
I chose Simpli Safe after researching home security systems for a while. This system has everything you need to keep your home safe. I love the sensors, the connectivity hasnât gone offline and the panic buttons are a plus and can be hidden throughout the home. Since my initial purchase I have bought other Simpli Safe products as well.

Easy set up
The only thing I had to do that was difficult was remove the battery cover on the hub and press the reset button to get the keypad to recognize and sync. Also the app is great with a widget that you can turn the system on or off using your phone’s home screen.

Used to Replace Ring Alarm System
Easy to set up! I do not use monitoring service since I’m home most of the time. Very happy with functionality, quality and components contained in the initial set up kit.

What a let down
After a great deal of research & contemplation, I originally purchased a simplisafe system a few years back, directly from thier site. The system and sensors worked great, has a beautiful design, and low power consumption. The let down, bummer town: I purchased the system for it’s connectivity, the ability to receive alarm notifications even in the event the system lost power or wifi without paying further subscription plan fees. Initially the system worked wonderfully in those events (which I experience regularly as this is used in an unconventional manner in my cargo van).UNTIL: One dark and stormy night; Simplisafe decided notifications and cell tower backup coverage would no longer be available…unless you paid a monthly subscription fee. ð±ðµDUNT DUN DUN ðµ….Upon this frightful discovery, customer service was contacted to rectify this issue, to no avail! The representatives remained very professional, yet they had canned answers and the inability or desire to assist in this great disaster. There was no notice to be given to the unsuspecting consumers who had already invested far too much money in the system.Simplisafe notifications will only work on wifi now, unless you’d like to toss more hard earned dollars their way each month. The system has now been rendered ineffective for my needs as purchased. And so ends this sad, woeful tale of money wasted, a company sans integrity, and customers hearts broken.ð¸ðð

Just got this. Easy to instal and very easy setup. The quality of the system is above average. I didnât expect this quality. Originally had a blink system that worked ok but this is much better.

Very easy to set up and operate. The thing I like about the system is that you can use any number of senses on doors walls etc and put them wherever you want. The only problem I had was downloading the APP as I live in Australia and had a region problem as the APP was only available in the US. Very happy so far.

It says ‘works with Alexa’ but that skill is banned in Canada. The machine needs a free 4G modem upgrade but SimpliSafe does not deliver to Canada. The product was used and came WITH A MASTER CODE ALREADY INSTALLED but the code was not included. After about 6000 tries I got the code.I apparently cannot buy any extra sensors or a replacement keypad in Canada as again Simplisafe doesn’t ship here and nobody else seems to sell them here. All I want is to use Alexa to arm this, and yet my Amazon account is Canadian so the skill is locked. Even though they sell the kits here new and used.Do NOT buy.
