overview – during the corona shutdown, I had to start working out at home – I bought parallel dipping bars, a head harness (neck exercises) and this Marcy forearm developer – I hadn’t seen this offered anywhere before amazon – reading the reviews, some other buyers said it didn’t have enough resistance – so, I bought one and tried it out – this indeed has ample resistance – you can set the range from light to heavy – also the grip distance – I am not using the full max setting – I do 50 reps on the 1st set – then 30 more reps on the 2nd set, with a 3.5 out of 5 setting – believe me, you will ‘feel the burn’ after working out with these – I liked it so much, I bought a 2nd unit to workout both arms at the same time – I can install and remove both of these units myself – I’m 6’2″ and 230 lbs and in excellant physical shape – and these are well matched to my strength level, which should be just fine for most other people – these are big, so smaller arms may not fit comfortably -pros – plenty of variable resistance – padded contact areas – adjustable grip distance – well made, don’t feel cheap or breakable – decent price at $20 (I bought 2) – intense forearm and wrist workout!cons – after over a weeks use, I have no negative comments -I highly recommend these to any serious power builder –

For the money this thing works well if you use it right. Mine broke randomly after not much use, not even sure how. Not a lot of resistance on this which is one area they can improve, and if youre a large human or have really big forearms it wont fit on you. If you do very slow and controlled eccentrics and concentric on this for very high reps, you can get a wicked pump. they need to make it bigger and better though

Great Exerciser!!!
I use this Monday Wednesday and Friday 20 reps then hold it closed for a minute at full Power then use Hands Grip tensioner the same way I do two sets of each 3 times daily. Then I do 15 minutes of football calisthenics, three times a week I Love it No alcohol, tobacco, or Low Fat Foods, Lots of Pasta YES!!!

It Works untill it dont.
It does a great job with muscle building noticed big difference in the couple weeks had it. BUT IT BROKE!!! It would be a 5 star if this didn’t happen. The nut that adjust the tension snapped in half. And the bottom pad came out. I was going to yank the pad out any how. Because it not made for people who already have forearms of a man.

Just what I needed after my PT ran out.
I shattered my right wrist last November, and got put back together with a titanium plate and 7 screws. I did 20 PT visits, and when those ran out I wanted to keep working on my wrist as there is some loss of downward deflection. So far this is helping develop the muscles that atrophied after spending 6 weeks in a cast. I am not 100% but slowly but surely getting there.There is a lot of plastic that makes up this unit, but it is holding up to every other day use.

Quality is lower than one produced years ago.
I owned this when I was in high school and university. It was rock solid and strongly built. This current one last only a few months with very infrequent use. First the tension knob disconnected from the marker that showed how strong it was set. Then the flimsy plastic bar tube cracked completely, rendering it useless. Now I am tossing this useless product away.

This item is perfect for developing your wrist and forearms. Light, durable, and easy to use. This item has a 5 level, tension adjuster. I am a die hard golfer, in my 60’s, who bought this to strengthen my wrist, mostly, and also my forearms. This item works. Highly recommended.

I have found the Marcy Wedge to be a great device for strengthening my forearms and wrists. It has adjustable wrist and resistance settings, it is light, but strong in build, and it fits very comfortable on your forearms, it’s very easy to use and I very happy with this product.
