Very Nice, Well Made, Heavy-Duty Lock and Cable
It’s a Master lock, and because of that, it’s exactly what I expected it would be. The cable is long enough that I can feed it through the back rim, then the bike frame in a couple spots, the front rim, and finally around whatever the bike is being locked to. The cable is thick and somewhat stiff, so it can be a little touchy uncoiling it to feed it through everything, but then it also recoils itself very nicely again when you unlock the bike. I think it’s perfect, and exactly what I wanted. Plus, you certainly can’t beat the price, and still get a quality lock and cable.

Heavy duty
Easy to program. I wouldnât trust the holder it comes with. It could easily break and loose your lock. I would attach once around the seat post so it doesnât fall off and loose it.

Industrial quality
This is more like an anchor, the cable and lock are a good twice the normal size of a bike lock. Easy to complete code. Only bummer is that the cable is looped and will need stretched out

Seem sturdy – easy to use
Should slow down a “casual thief.” Nothing is going to protect property from a determined thief with some time to take your stuff. This cable lock set should make it harder to steal from you. The 6-foot cable is ample. Loved that it came with a bike frame mount to hold the cable while riding. Good so far and a fair price to boot.

Excellent, quick , cheap and easy. Not super secure.
Excellent, quick , cheap and easy. Not super secure so if you have a real expensive bike or tough neighborhood, you want to step up to something better. This serves me perfectly .

Had to cut the lock…
I bought three of these yesterday for my kids’ bikes as they are going back to school. I reset them all to the same combination, and I showed my kids how to use them. Two of them worked alright, with my kids able to lock the bike and unlock it without too much trouble. The wire is thick and stiff and a bit hard for my kids to manipulate, and the locking mechanism itself is a bit unforgiving if there is torque on the wire, but the kids managed anyway. The third lock, though, didn’t open after my son locked the bike at our local park. I know he didn’t reset it intentionally, and it’s hard for me to imagine that he was able to accidentally reset the lock while he was locking the bike. He got it open in the first place using the combination I set, and then by the time he had the bike locked, it either malfunctioned or had its combination changed somehow. I tried for quite a while to get the lock open using the combination I set it to and a bunch of others nearby, with no luck. In the end, a dremel made quick work of the wire…This makes me a bit nervous for the other two – will I have to bring a dremel to their school to unlock their bikes someday?

I bought this so I could keep riding my bike on short trips to the grocery store and keep it chained somewhere. It’s perfectly easy to use but is it tough to move around. It coils around itself nicely, but to pull it out of the coil to wrap it around something else can be a little strenuous- not worth knocking a star though. Also be SUPER careful not to accidently lock yourself out when you buy it initially. I almost did that, very scary.

Cable is stiff but provides a good memory to coil up once used. Lock is easy to change the combo.

I had my bike locked using this product and someone was able to cut through and steal the bike. I wouldn’t recommend this product. My bike was at a train station so the perpetrator would have to be relatively quick.I’ll have to go with another option maybe a chain.
