These are really warm as a base layer under short sleeve uniforms/night games outdoors and as a base layer for 35 degree F skiing with just a mid-layer and waterproof shell. My kids are tall / husky and the medium fit them. Held up well so far with washing and repeat wearing. Great deal too.
