    Connects well with Alexa
Lights work really nicely and had no problem connecting to Alexa. Took about 5-10 minutes of setup time through the app to connect all 4 lightbulbs

    Easy to connect and use.
Connected to my Abode hub easily on the first try. Not Wi-Fi connected which is the most important feature to me.I like the variety of not only colors, but also warmth of white light I can set. Great value to performance. Yet to be seen how long it lasts, but I’ve had other Sengled bulbs that are still working after 5ish years and hopefully this last just as long.

    A colorful delight
These lights are a breeze to install right out of the box with straightforward directions. They change colors – red, green, blue, purple, white, you name it—and you can even dim them. They pair seamlessly with Alexa Show and Dot devices, so I can command them to turn on, off, change colors, and dim just by speaking, or set them to follow my schedule automatically. However, there were a few times the lights decided to go rogue and disconnect from Alexa, leaving me powerless until I reinstalled them. It’s annoying, but aside from that, they’re perfect for brightening up my life!

    Great Buy
I was looking high and low for a WiFi color light. This light was hard to get connected but so worth it. Just saying it was difficult for me but it will probably connect better for someone else. I love the color changing setting (the setting that changes the color on its own). The theme settings are only a few but still pretty cool.

    Works Pretty well!
I have updated my review because of the requirement for a “positive review” to receive a free product from them. it’s unethical and amazon should not allow the practice. It’s a huge decision figuring out which smart bulbs you want to buy, because you’re probably stuck with them/the brand for a long time!! So I did my research on what I thought were the best/least expensive brand and decided sengled was “good enough”I went for the wifi option without a hub so everything is connected directly to my router. I currently have 10 lights hooked up to my router.I got my bulbs on sale for 20.99Installation went very well! Took me about 20 minutes to set up 10 bulbs. I downloaded the app, plugged in the bulb. Added each bulb and each bulb took about 30 seconds to a minute to fully connect. I had to reset a few bulbs which all you have to do is turn the light switch on and off 5 times really fast. It worked, but I could see how that could be annoying for some people if you accidentally reset or if you only want to reset one bulb, you’ll reset all of them hooked up to the switch. I wish you could connect multiple bulbs at once, but you must do them individually, and it’s actually easier to plug in one at a time.Connectivity. My Router is definitely a top model router, so I wasn’t expecting any issues with connections, but I still find them to be a tiny bit spotty. 99% of the time they work the way I want, but sometimes the light’s won’t do what I ask right away unless I turn them on and off or wait a while. This is something I’ll need to wait and see how they perform. One other thing I’ve noticed is you’ll experience a bit of lag time when you turn your switch on to when the lights decide they will turn on. I think they turn on, connect to the router, then decide what color and if they should be on or not. It’s about a quarter second or so, but it’s not instant like non smart bulbs. When multiple bulbs are connected to the same switch, each bulb will act independently and it can be weird having very slight variations in the timing of each bulb turning on. The off switch is instant though.Functionality of the bulbs is pretty solid. They have virtually infinite colors, 100 brightness options 1%-100%. It’s really fun messing with the colors and brightnesses. Each color can be different brightnesses as well. You can group bulbs in rooms, set timers, different color coordinations with scenes, wake up mode and sleep mode. The only ones that I’ll want to use is the different scenes.I had hoped to see a rainbow/color changing option just to show off the bulbs or have some fun with them, but there is no such option I could find. I hope sengled adds this option to the app at some point.I don’t have a lot of experience with other smart bulbs, but I’m pretty happy with my purchase. They are fun, pretty easy to set up and work overall pretty well even with 10 bulbs connected in 3 different rooms. If you get the wifi bulbs I don’t think there is any option to connect to your google home or alexa. You need the hub if you want to do that.It would take a really long time to actually save money on electricity with the bulbs. These are more fun than money saving, but the app does show how much electricity each bulb has used, and I thought that was a pretty fun addition to the app. My previous bulbs were very hot to the touch, hot enough to burn my fingers. These get warm near the base, but are basically room temperature everywhere on the bulb.

The best (and only) option on the market, but quality has gone down
We have over a dozen Sengled Multicolor A19 Smart LED bulbs, the first batch of which were bought over the summer of 2019. We needed our bulbs to meet the following requirements: Zigbee-based, works with Samsung SmartThings, bright, okay to look at directly, multicolor, and 90 CRI or greater (the installation is in California and 90 CRI is a requirement). Sengled meets all of these specifications and remains one of the only products on the market that does so. However, there are two problems that buyers should know about. The first problem is that this bulb does not function as a Zigbee repeater, so extra engineering is required if you want to use this bulb down a long line of fixtures. Our installation includes a ~120ft hallway from the Samsung SmartThings hub. Without a repeater, the second-furthest bulb operates about 95% of the time, while the furthest bulb operates only about 40% of the time. Sengled justifies this design decision in its FAQ on sengled.com by stating: “Our Element bulbs were designed to be used as Zigbee end devices only. Our engineers made this distinction as repeaters require constant power, but people still tend to power off their bulbs with wall switches when leaving a room. With no power to the repeater, other end devices may disconnect. The fact that our Element bulbs are not repeaters also ensures that your Zigbee Mesh Network doesn’t become overcrowded, which would delay any user controls.”I would easily pay $5 to $20 extra for a Sengled bulb just to have the repeater feature turned on. However, as of this writing, no Multicolor A19 bulbs act as repeaters. In the SmartThings IDE, they all (2019 and 2020 purchases) report as “zigbeeNodeType: NON_SLEEPY_END_DEVICE”.To overcome this problem, we engineered Ikea TrÃ¥dfri USB Zigbee repeaters into the fixtures, so the whole line of lights works. That may be the subject of a separate review someday. The second problem is that the latest batch of bulbs suffers from occlusions in the lens cap. The photos attached to this review show three separate bulbs with visible blemishes when the light is on. One looks like a bad gash. The other two look like interlocking rings. Of the four A19 bulbs that I bought in the last two months, three bulbs suffer from occlusions serious enough that I cannot use them. The fourth bulb has occlusions but they are light enough to live with. As pointed out, one of the requirements is that the bulb be aesthetically pleasing because they are directly exposed to view, including from below for ceiling-mounted and high wall sconce fixtures. If your fixture has a shade, then this problem will not matter to you.The new packaging in 2020 is printed in color; if you get the packaging that is just brown cardboard with black printing, those bulbs were put together in 2019, and do not have these occlusions. I asked Sengled about this problem, and they wrote back that “These are simply manufacturing variances likely due to the way that the plastic was cooling during manufacturing.” That may be true, but none of the 2019 bulbs that I have exhibit this problem. For a $25 product (nearly 25x more than non-smart white-only bulbs), we should expect better quality control.Sengled says that this product is for interior use only, but we have observed no problems in it working reliably outdoors as long as it is enclosed in an outdoor fixture.

    Best investment😁🥰
When you don’t want to get off your bed after falling asleep on yourself and you forgot to take off the light or if you want to put on your light before you get home or if you away on vacation or a weekend you can put on your lights without being in the house or moving from your bed. You can connect to Alexa or you can put on or take off via the app as well

These bulbs are a lovely addition to my home. They integrate very easily with Alexa.I am especially pleased with dimming and colour capabilities.Sometimes, I just use blue instead of dimming; it adds a mystical mood to the room.I use a bulb in the bedroom, so I can tuck myself into bed and simply say, Alexa, Night Light Off.”This use of the bulb with Alexa really adds a safety element when turning off lights for the night. This bulb offers a lot of convenience to a home. I highly recommend it.

Recomendables.

I purchased these for my entrance way outside. I work all day, and don’t like to leave the light on, but in winter it’s dark by the time I get home, and cannot see the handle to put key in. This works great, I ended up purchasing more, and have them in downstairs rooms that I don’t spend a lot of time in, Furnace Room, Wine / Panty Room, and laundry room. If they go out before your done, just move and they will come back on, or you can turn on permanent. The only reason it has 4 star rating for detection, is they are very sensitive. The outdoor one is actually in my entrance way/sunroom. It tends to go on and off when the wind moving curtains, and sometimes with the branches of a near by tree. This does not bother me, however it may bother some. I love these lights and would buy again.
